As part of HFG’s 20th anniversary celebrations, the company enjoyed a day at Ascot Races. Unfortunately due to train strikes and the London Marathon, some of the HFG team were unable to attend, and they were sorely missed! Those that could make it enjoyed a fantastic days racing in a private box overlooking the finishing line! HFG were delighted to sponsor the Insurance Insider Honours for a seventh time in September. On an understandably solemn evening, due to the news of the Queen’s passing, a minutes silence was observed before the commencement of the awards. HFG hosted our annual Summer Golf Day last week at Burhill Golf Club – in aid of Spinal Research. Following the prolonged dry spell in the UK, course conditions allowed for some monster drives but wayward shots would rarely be staying in bounds. Following an enjoyable 18 holes, the 72 golfers returned to the clubhouse for a BBQ, presentation and networking drinks. Harold Smith Harold Smith was an investigator who represented Lloyd’s of London and other insurance companies for over fifty years. He was born in the South Bronx in 1926 and attended local Catholic schools before joining the Merchant Marine Academy in New York.
