Michigan Friday: That is a Strange PAC 12 Announcement

As you know, the Big Ten took the best teams from the PAC 12 in USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon.  With the other teams leaving for the Big 12 or ACC.  Which means the PAC 12 now only has 2 schools in Washington State and Oregon State.   Now the PAC 12 has announced that the former PAC 12 teams will still be tied to PAC 12 Bowl tie ins.  As you know my stance on Bowl Games, these are just scrimmages anyways.  With a 12 team playoff now, either get into the playoffs oor play a scrimmage game.   All 7 Spring Transfers have enrolled at Michigan, CJ ..read more

Wolverine Wednesday: Some Went Up - Others Down

There are many recruiting services now including 24/7, Rivals, On3, and ESPN.  Not too many people take ESPN very seriously anymore, so that leaves 3 that are decent at what they do.  On3 is the newest start up and still trying to gain on the larger services.   On3 just did some reassignments to their rankings because running at camps in shorts clearly should make a player go up or down in star status.  Here is what they did with some Michigan recruits: ▲ DL Jalen Williams to 4 star  ▲ WR Jacob Washington 4 Star  ▲ RB Jasper Parker to 4 Star  ▽OT Aver ..read more

Michigan Monday: Is there Good News Coming?

Social Media was a flutter yesterday as Sherrone put up the ? twice.  Which clearly means two commitments are coming the Wolverines way.  Now, I have no interest in ruining a kids moment in the sun as they pick up a hat, a jersey, or release a Wolverine to the wild, but if I were you I would pay attention to the news and notes bullets following this message.   It is really nice to see the new coaches making up for lost time on the recruiting trail and selling the culture in Ann Arbor.   4-star TE Andrew Olesh from PA is announcing his decision today between Mi ..read more

Michigan Wednesday - Friday: Michigan's Only 5-Star Prospect in 25

NIL has changed the way 5-star players are recruited.  Many of them now want $5K just to do a visit.  If they want $5K just to visit, I can't imagine how much they are looking for to commit to your program?  Michigan will not be playing that game.  So Michigan will have to continue to build its program with 4-stars and an occasional 5-star that either loves the Wolverines or is looking for a strong academic opportunity.  5-star OT Andrew Babalola is a 6'6 280 pound OT from Kansas who keeps academics very high in his decision process.  In fact, some services ..read more

Walter Camp released its Pre-Season All American list on Monday.  Three Wolverines made the list and you already know the names: Will Johnson, Colston Loveland, and Mason Graham.  The interesting part of the list is Johnson and Loveland were first team and Graham was second.   Maybe the team was camping when they made that decision and ate one of those funny looking mushrooms.  TNT will be covering Mountain West Football moving forward.  If your a fan of any of these teams: Baylor, Indiana, Louisville, Minnesota, Nevada, Rutgers, Tulane & Virginia&nb ..read more

Michigan landed another defensive lineman in edge rusher Julius Holly from outside Atlanta over the weekend.  Julius is 6'3 230 pounds and is a 4 star Edge to all the services minus 24/7.  His offer list was strong with the leaders being Georgia, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.  "Captain" Lou Esposito is really putting in the work for the Wolverines and grabs another top rated guy for his defensive line. Wink tells us to stay locked in, so hopefully the good news keeps rolling. Blake Corum got engaged over the weekend.  Congrats! Brady Hart was on the offensive MVP ..read more

Sherone's "heads up" social media signal that a commit is coming is this: ?.  He dropped another looking eyes last night.  So maybe we will hear today or this weekend on who the next commit will be.   Tim Hardaway, just got traded to the Pistons.  Welcome Home! 3 star Julius Holley an Edge rusher from Georgia is getting predictions to the Maize and Blue and would be the betting favorite to be the ?. Jordon Davison the 5 Star RB who Michigan is a finalist for is most likely headed to the Oregon Ducks.  MSU DB Transfer to Michigan Jaden Mangham has enrolled ..read more

Michigan Thursday: OL Commit Wins MVP at Rivals 5 Star Camp

Michigan OL instate commit Avery Gach doesn't do many camps because he has been committed to the Wolverines for many months.  He did show up at the Rivals 5-Star camp in Jacksonville, FL and shined.  Per Rivals: There wasn’t a more competitive or animated offensive lineman than Gach at the event on Wednesday. He displayed great technique and functional strength as an interior offensive lineman but he has the tools to be able to line up as a tackle as well. He has an excellent frame and still has room to add mass at the next level. He’s plenty strong, patient as a pass blocker, and di ..read more

When Harbaugh got to Michigan he invested heavily into the analyst role.  These are usually young or former coaches in between on-field coaching jobs.  Their roles were to review film, scout other teams, work with kids in the film room, etc.  Basically, everything that's not on a football field   Some of these coaches have better relationships with the players then the actual position coaches.  Alabama was very strong in this area, Harbaugh copied that model and won a NC with it. New rules are now in effect that these analysts can be on the field at practice and ..read more
