Day before expo (approximately 1:00- Approx. 5:00)
-put up signs for each station, sign in sheets, sign on doors, etc. 2 volunteers
-help vendors to their area and with their set up 2 volunteers
Day of Expo (6:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.)
-put balloons and signs outside 1 volunteer
– direct traffic outside(starting around 7:00) 3-4 volunteers
-help vendors to their area and with their set up 2-3 volunteers
-put out food, drinks, make coffee (upstairs and downstairs) 2 volunteers

Volunteers are needed for Simply Smyrna Celebration on Saturday June 12th.
The event is from 6pm – 10pm on Front Street in Historic Downtown Smyrna. It is an outdoor event with five live music stages, vendors, food trucks, beer garden & more.
Carpe Artista is in need of volunteers for set up & tear down, as well as during the event.

Blood Donor Ambassador: Be the friendly face at the Red Cross Blood Drives in the Rutherford County area that greets, checks in, and supports blood donors.
Shifts vary depending on the need and location. The Blood Collection Center in Murfreesboro, as well as additional drives hosted within the community, need volunteers at least once a month, typically on a week day, for 4-8 hours.

Mindful Care Adult Day Services is looking for a new home. Our 13-year-old nonprofit has operated out of New Vision Baptist Church since its inception. They have been wonderfully generous over the years. However, they are expanding their programs and need to move programs into the Mindful Care space. Therefore, Mindful Care must vacate by June 30, 2021. That will be here before you know it.

Read To Succeed’s Adult Literacy Program needs volunteers to teach adult ESL (English Second Language) classes and ABE (Adult Basic Education) one-on-one tutors for adult learners!
• Classes meet virtually
• Volunteers must be able to commit 2-4 hours / week
• Teaching experience, ESL experience, and knowledge of a second language are not required
• RTS offers a two-part training course that provides you with all the necessary tools to teach an online ESL class and tutor ABE learners

The Murfreesboro Lions Club has nominated Lion Dr. Andrea Waller Price as the Volunteer of the Week. Andrea joined the Lions Club 19 years ago and immediately began her unselfish service to the blind and sight impaired community. She makes her services available for the individuals that have eye problems whether it be glasses, other eye correction or surgery or routine checkups.
