Got the idea through Allison on the lolita amino. 1. Take one postable coord photo a month. I wear EGL on the reg but, like, never take photos anymore. Probably partly because it’s become so integral to my wardrobe. And wearing it suuuuper casually doesn’t lend itself well to an amazing coord to share, but it’s cute enough for errands or a lazy weekend. 2. Release 25 Podcast Episodes. I took a bit of a hiatus and have a handful of interviews recorded and even one scheduled for tomorrow, so it’s time to get cracking on releasing! The question is do I want to do weekly with seasons, OR just m ..read more

Day 2 of No Spend November

I wrongly assumed this would be the easiest of all the things in the list to accomplish. Nope! I did have a mask hiding in my cabinet buuuuuut finding the time and the headspace to just sit with it on didn’t happen easily. On the second, it got pushed aside because I wanted to do this with my partner-he likes face masks too. On the third, I tried with a friend but plans changed and I ended up hanging out with her at her place instead of booting up my mask machine. It is the forth, and I leave for work in a few minutes, but, I am actively wearing the mask. It’s wild how difficult it is to make ..read more

Day one was to read a book about no spend challenges. I pulled this out to start rereading. So far I’ve only re-tackled chapter one, but it was good to go through and reestablish my why and such. I’m pretty pleased with feeling the energy to make progress on it again ..read more

Halloween Lolita Tag

I was invited to answer the EGL Halloween tag questions this year, so in the penultimate episode of the podcast’s season 2, I’m doing exactly that. The YouTube Playlist(everyone else did it on YT) The questions: 1. Favorite Halloween-theme release? 2. Name a Halloween piece you wouldn’t be dared to wear! 3. Have you ever bought a Halloween-themed print? 4. Which horror monster or villain would you love to have as coordinate inspiration? 5. The creepiest thing that’s ever happened while you were alone in lolita? 6. If you were dared to wear a coord you didn’t pick for 24 hours, would you do it ..read more

This is the first of a long running series. This initial post is to essentially be a starting page for the guide and to also gush over these dolls. It’s not exactly a secret that I adore my little Jun Planning Ball-Jointed-Doll AI. My Aster doll rightout of the box- just noticed one leg is backward-oops! They’re not made anymore, so you can’t buy them “brand new” but you can still find NIP AI dolls on eBay and Amazon. They’re strung up and proper Ball Jointed Dolls. At 5.25″ tall, they fit in some of the smallest handbags and could even nestle comfortably in a cargo-pant pocket. There’s only ..read more

One of my friends held a yard sale last week and I joined her in selling. I didn’t earn a ton of money(and I didn’t think to take a photo of my table) but it allowed me to easily offload some things that would have taken longer to re-home if I listed them to Poshmark, and to re-make decisions on if I wanted to push through the effort of hanging onto things to sell off. After, a lot of the table went into the donate pile and were pulled from Poshmark, along with deciding not to list a small collection of things. It was a nice way to return to the world at large, after self-isolating as a precau ..read more

Finding The Most Sustainable Menstural Cup

I am approaching the ten year anniversary for my menstrual cup. In late 2021, my current Diva cup will become “expired”. My first instinct was to replace my Diva Cup with another one, but in my attempt to live more sustainably and ethically, I decided to investigate all the different brands and try to find the perfect balance of lifespan versus distance to get to me. Some cups are made in the USA, but some also only have a two year lifespan. I am not affiliated with any of these brands. Every link, unless it breaks over time, will take you to the page it has that particular information. So he ..read more

Giving up on Zero Waste Week

I had the whole week planned out, but true to my nature, I’m giving up. I had plans for a post for each day, and I was excited about it, but in the prep lead up time, things kept happening making that impossible. No worries then, right? I can just write the posts the day of! Wrong. Monday was fine but I still ran very late to visit my partner. Then Tuesday took far longer than anticipated and went out late as in right after midnight late- I got insufficient sleep. Things came up yesterday too, when I thought I’d have the afternoon as well. My plans were: Monday: podcast Tuesday: sewing Wednes ..read more
