Since May 1, The Triton’s staff had documented and reported  on the Gaza Solidarity Encampment that was set up on undeveloped land alongside the northern end of Library Walk. On May 16 at 1:00 p.m. approximately 15 UCSD faculty members met outside of Seventh College’s The Bistro dining hall in order to deliver two petitions condemning the police response to the Gaza Solidarity Encampment on May 6 to Chancellor Pradeep Khosla, where they believed his office to be at 3333 North Torrey Pines Court. United Auto Workers (UAW) 4811 voted to authorize a strike if unfair labor practice charges filed “in response to UC’s actions against peaceful protesters” remain unresolved. The unfair labor practice charges stem from multiple alleged violations by the UC system over pro-Palestine demonstrations at UC Los Angeles, UC Irvine, and UC San Diego, according to UAW 4811. Man Stabbed at Nobel Drive Trolley Station

A man was left with non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing at the Nobel Drive Trolley Station early Tuesday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD). Officers responded to the area of 3449 Nobel Drive at approximately 12:35 a.m. to find a male in his 50s with at least one stab wound. The man was transported to the hospital.
