Hello, I have a Christian groupchat for anyone who's either a new convert, curious about the faith or has a calling to intercede for others. The group is made from people of all faith backgrounds uniting to learn more about Our Lord everyday. Everyday we post a Bible reading so that can remind you to read the Bible. Moreover, we give daily advice on Christianity. You can ask any question you like, (even the controversial ones). We need new members to pray for each other and share the faith. Please join the group if you are interested. https://chat.whatsapp.com/HVhWxKgsCTCJJoH6NrPmER This is t ..read more

"The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, acting in her role as presiding bishop-designate for some Title IV matters, announced today that she and the Rt. Rev. Paul-Gordon Chandler, bishop of the Episcopal Church in Wyoming, have entered an accord resolving the Title IV charges against him. The Disciplinary Board for Bishops has approved this accord as required by church canons. Under the terms of the accord, Chandler has voluntarily submitted to a sentence of deposition, which deprives him of the right to exercise the gifts and spiritual authority of God’s word and sacraments conferred at ordination ..read more

Hey everyone! I am a relatively new person to TEC, as I only started attending services in early January of this year. I have absolutely loved my experience so far and I can’t wait to continue my journey with this wonderful community. With Easter services coming up this weekend however, I am nervous that I don’t have anything nice enough to wear. I normally just wear a pair of business-like pants and a nicer shirt, but that doesn’t fit with what I saw people wearing on Palm Sunday last week either. Should I get a nicer dress before the service this weekend just to be safe? If so, what kind of ..read more

I was wondering if yall could tell me what it might be like, or what your local church does for the Tenebrae Service? Would this be a good first time to attend? submitted by /u/OV104 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Peace be with you all. First I'd like to preface that I am entirely LGBT affirming. I have members of the LGBT community as family and friends. While cis, I myself am not entirely hetero. I don't know what you'd call it, but it's not hetero. My question is, regardless of what scripture says or means, doesn't affirmation of LGBT persons fall under Episcopal church tradition, and also, reason? That's really how I think of it. I don't give it much thought beyond that. I'm not even sure it works that way, though. I admit I'm a baby believer and am still forming my theology, so I could be off. su ..read more

Share a time when you’ve felt the presence of God

As I’ve been attending Episcopal services the past few weeks, I’ve started to look around at the congregation, and ask myself: “I wonder how all of these folks have experienced the presence of God.” For me, it was my first in person service. I remember sitting in the pew and just feeling this overwhelming sense of calm. This overwhelming sense of… knowing that God was present. Since then, I’ve felt God especially at church, but also in moments of my day when I’m in thoughtful prayer. I wish I could describe the feeling to everyone, share this feeling with everyone. But for now, I’d love for y ..read more
