Since I was a toddler, I have had a St. Jude statue. I'm 47 now. My mother told me I used to talk to it as if he was talking back to me. I still have that very little statue to this day. The funny thing is that I'm not a Catholic yet. I'm doing OCIA which is starting this August, and I can't wait. I'm a baptized Methodist. My feeling: my calling is to the Catholic Church. I'm new to this and a Catholic Mass was the first Mass I have ever attended. I prayed for months on my own not knowing if I was doing it right. I just talked to God like he was my friend. I then learned some prayers from rea ..read more

We seem to think that everything is done when we willingly take and wear the religious habit and abandon all worldly things and possessions for Him - even though these possessions may amount to no more than the nets St. Peter possessed, for he who gives what he has thinks he gives enough. This renunciation is a good enough preparation if one perseveres in it and doesn’t turn back and become involved with ..read more

My sisters and brothers in Christ, St Expedite is the saint of urgent needs. He is a saint I have a lot to thank for interceding on life saving issues for my family. Here is a guided prayer video I personally made from a specific prayer to St Expedite I’ve been devoted to for 5 years.
There are many times in which we feel like we missed our chance, were too late, or we just did not find a solution to an emergency need. However I am here to tell you that nothing is impossible or too late with God, and St Expedite’s prayers have worked miracles in my faith! No matter the deadline, no matter ..read more

I've gotten cards in the mail talking about signing up for perpetual Masses to be said loved ones who've died.
I've heard of having a Mass on their behalf (in case they're in purgatory)
But what is a perpetual mass & is this in line with official church teachings?
