I am currently designing in addition to translating knitting and crochet patterns to and from English; proof reading knitting patterns; holding presentations and knitting workshops. Developing workshops for Loop was my ticket to it. Fairisle, Lace Knitting, Knitting Bonanza, Professional Finishing Techniques and Knitting for Improvers were held at the new shop.

Several people have asked me just that after I told them I was going back to the Barcelona Knits Festival 2023, for the second time around (the first time was in 2019). What a festival it has been, I have had a blast and must admit that it is still the best organised knitting event I have ever been too! The three behind the festival, running for the sixth time around, are: Anna Chao, aka misswasabi81; Eva Rodríguez, aka lalanalu and Kiara Bonini, aka lalanalu. My Nyoko dress, made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk and knitted in their Ask yarn, pattern has been released after a successful test knit on Ravelry. The individual pattern is available in English and Norwegian in my Ravelry Store, while yarn kits will be available soon directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk. The dress was brilliantly photographed by Eivind Røhne at our photoshoot at Galleri Würth back in June, worn by Emmalin Williams with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman. The next set of pictures from the photoshoot at Galleri Würth, I will share with you is of Raiden, a v-neck pullover, made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, knitted in two shades of the pure wool Ask. The pullover looked fabulous on Model Emmalin Williams, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, brilliantly captured by Eivind Røhne. I chose to style it with a pair of wide legged black trousers and boots from Monica Stålvang. I realised that Emmalin needed a necklace and I used one of my own made by Kaja Gjedebo Design in oxidised silver. I also gave her a ball to play with as a prop, as you can ..read more

The dress Nyoko – made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk – looked stunning on model Emmalin Williams, with make-up & hair by Hina Suleman, captured by Eivind Røhne at Galleri Würth, outside of Oslo back in June. I decided to style the dress with a silk scarf at the neck, a statement necklace by Monies and brown wedge boots by Monica Stålvang. I asked Emmalin to choose between brown or black boots, and she chose brown (just as I had done). Hina perfectly pleated her hair to match the cables, see the bottom photo! Yarn kits with English or Norwegian pattern will be available ..read more

The next set of photos I will show you from our photoshoot at Galleri Würth back in June is of the tunic Genki and the scarf Boann, both knitted in the divine Neighborhood Fiber Co. Capital Luxury Sport. I knew the red-orange shade would look amazing on model Emmalin Williams, especially with a black sunhat to add panache. Photographer Eivind Røhne loved the hat and would not allow me to take it off until we photographed the Boann scarf. I chose to style Genki with a darker wine red Wolford skirt, while Emmalin picked the red shoes to go with it. Make-up & hair stylist Hina Suleman&nb ..read more

Rebekah and Gael Audic are friends from London, now living in the US, that we had not seen for more than 10 years, when they came to visit us for a few days at the beginning of September. Michael suggested we take them on two trips; one to the old town in Fredrikstad and one to Kistefos Museum at Jevnaker. Gael is a very skilled photographer who often takes pictures of his wife and these ones are no exception. Hence Rebekah is used to modelling so I wanted to take the opportunity to organise a small photoshoot – with 4 designs – in Fredrikstad, where both Gael and Michael were photographi ..read more

The sleeveless pullover Izana was the first garment that Emmalin Williams wore on our photoshoot in June at Galleri Würth, outside of Oslo. Izana, made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, looked fabulous on Emmalin with make-up & hair styling by Hina Suleman and earrings by Kaja Gjedebo Design, while the bracelet is by Monies. Photographer Eivind Røhne captured these brilliant shots outside the entrance to the gallery. I chose to style it with culottes, a black silk blouse and with a woven wool scarf, as well as without the scarf. Yarn kits with English or Norwegian pattern will b ..read more
