Hayami is the next new design I will show you made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, based on my Yaelle silhouette but instead of side pockets I have made a Kangaroo pocket adorned with a cable on the front. The high/low oversized pullover is beautifully knitted by my sample knitter Nadja, in Tinde pelt wool yarn using a 3.5 mm/US 4 needle with a 21 stitches and 30 rows measuring 10 cm/4 inches square. Michael photographed me at the National Museum in Oslo, wearing size 2 with 48 cm/19 inches positive ease.Hayami – rare and unusual beauty in Japanese – is a high-low pullover in stockinette st ..read more

I have been looking forward to share the photos from our photoshoot at Bøler Kirke back in December and will start with the old design Gaylia. Jazz singer Anette Løvtangen, accepted the challenge of being model for a day, after Olivia Lindtein got ill, to my relief. Photographer Eivind Røhne and second photographer Michael, both gave her tips on how to pose during the day. Make-up & Hair Stylist Hina Suleman perfected her looks. Gaylia was first photographed back in 2016 at the Architectural Museum in Oslo.I wanted to style it differently from last time, hence I chose my black pliss ..read more

The next new design I will show you is a dress, Chiasa made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, knitted in the pelt wool yarn Tinde by my sample knitter Nadja. My idea was to make a two layered dress, with a different stitch pattern on the top. Yarn kits will soon be available directly from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, while the individual pattern will be test knitted before it is released in both English and Norwegian in my Ravelry Store. The test knit begins on the 19th of February in my Ravelry group. Named Chiasa, Japanese for one thousand mornings, is this A-line dress with a second layer at ..read more

The first new design I will reveal in 2024 is the jacket Iku made for Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk in their Sol lambswool yarn. I wanted to have another go at making a seamless design with the body worked from the bottom and up, while the sleeves are worked top down in the round. Iku is a new version of my Dearaim jacket I designed for the autumn 2022 collection for Hillesvåg. Dearaim had a cable pattern adorning the center part of the body, while Iku has a lace pattern, both jackets have stockinette stitch sleeves. I was attracted to this new melange light beige shade in ..read more

A new year is approaching and I do hope it will be an even better one than 2023. “Takk for det gamle”/Thank you for the old one, as we say to each other when the new year approaches in Norway! It is a good custom, in my opinion to thank friends and family for making the year richer, and so much better. So thank you for following me this year, and I wish you a happy and healthy new year! I hope it will be a peaceful year. I also hope that it will be a year that bring you all lots of happiness and shared pleasures! Above is photo from our walk on the frozen lake – Rødnessjøen in Ørje – a few min ..read more

All the snow we needed for a white Christmas came on Thursday, just in time. For me it will be yet another Knitmas. The holidays always seem to sneak up on me and suddenly it is Little Christmas Eve; 23rd of December. Michael and I will be celebrating Christmas Eve with my brother and his family, as well as my mum. I will take some time off to relax between knitting and pattern writing, before my next pattern release coming soon. Above is a view of our front terrace taken from the living room, with all the snow and our Christmas star decoration! Stay well and safe! I wish you all a Merry Chris ..read more

The time has come to show you a few behind the scenes photos from our photoshoot at Bøler Kirke – a community church by HBA Arkitekter completed in 2011 (see more photos here: www.bygg.no) – on last Tuesday. This is the fourth time we are using the church. Model Olivia Lindtein got the flue, so she cancelled the day before, but jazz singer Anette Løvtangen accepted the challenge. This time we borrowed the chapel, instead of the entrance hall, located in the opposite end of the church building. Photographer Eivind Røhne brought extra light, numerous reflectors, flash and his laptop so we could ..read more
