Fairfax County, VA – Seven out-of-state suspects, possibly linked to other burglaries across the country, have been arrested in Chesterfield, VA for a Lake Barcroft burglary. On April 21, around 9 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Columbia Pike in Lake Barcroft for a report of a burglary. Home surveillance cameras were able to capture multiple suspects entering the home. The suspects stole jewelry, handbags, and a safe. Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Child Abuse Squad have charged a school counselor with the assault of a student. On April 16, detectives from our Child Abuse Squad began investigating an assault that occurred at Glasgow Middle School in Lincolnia. Detectives determined the 11-year-old student called Craig Small, 44, of Lorton, a derogative name. Small then headbutted the victim and carried him out of the cafeteria. Fairfax County, VA – Detectives from our Sex Crimes Squad have charged a 23-year-old woman for multiple counts of indecent liberties with a minor. On April 11, detectives began investigating after employees notified officers of an illicit relationship between an employee of the Lorton Community Center, Zoha Sultan of Lorton, and a teenager attending the center. Mount Vernon Police District – A Lorton man has been charged in a domestic-related fatal shooting that occurred last night. Last night around 11:35 p.m., officers responded to Mount Vernon Hospital at 2501 Parker Lane in Hybla Valley. Alison “Kate” LaPorta, 38, of Lorton was brought to the hospital by her boyfriend, Huy Tien Nguyen, 47, suffering a gunshot wound to her upper body.
