The COVID-19 pandemic is a dynamically changing situation and it is important that the College of Paramedics keeps its members updated on the latest and best evidence. The College is also keen to rapidly share any new treatment guidelines for patients where there are safety implications on clinical practice. These are very challenging times with numerous cancellations of clinical placements and restrictions of what students can and cannot do. The College of Paramedics has been working very hard and continues to do so, in dealing with a moving agenda of priorities. We have liaised with every single paramedic science programme-lead linked to an approved HCPC pre-registration programme. Currently COVID19 has been classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation with cases still being confirmed at an increasing rate. The College of Paramedics is running a small grant scheme that aims to support members to carry out research studies. A maximum of three studies will be funded to a maximum of £1,250 each.
