My vase obsession continues - Iittala Ruutu vases
Studio Anu Reinson

I know that I have an obsession with vases, especially with Iittala vases. Definitely a crazy vase lady! Today I wanted to show you my latest additions to my growing vase collection - Iittala Ruutu vases in linen coloured glass and brown ceramics. Ceramic vases are new to Iittala collection and I really like them especially paired with Ruutu glass vases - same shape, matching colors, but diversity in materials that makes the composition more interesting. Ruutu vases are designed by Ronan and Erwan Boroullec and they have a simple, symmetrical design that is easy to incorporate into different ..read more

Stylist Line Dammen's beautiful home in Oslo
Studio Anu Reinson

Some days ago when I was spending time in Pinterest I clicked on a photo of a beautiful wooden kitchen (which is actually from IKEA with handles from Norrgavel) and found this article in Bo Bedre about a beautiful home of Norwegian stylist Line Dammen. I liked the other photos of this home also so much that I decided to share it here and keep it as a future reference for myself. Absolutely stunning interior in its warm nordic minimalism. // Paar päeva tagasi kui ma Pinterestis aega viitsin ja inspiratiooni kogusin sattusin ühe eriti ilusa köögi foto peale, mis mind kohe täielikult võlus ja se ..read more

My bedside favorites from Iittala Kuru collection
Studio Anu Reinson
by Anu Reinson

Lately my bedside table has been occupied by beautiful items from Iittala’s new Kuru collection designed by Philippe Malouin. First a little Kuru glass bowl moved in to hold all those little things that usually land on a bedside table and create visual clutter there. When put into this bowl they look even decorative, mostly because of the simple and beautiful shape of the bowl and gorgeous light-play created on its glass surface by sun rays peeking in through curtains. A frosted glass Kuru vase gives a good company to this little bowl. I think it’s such a perfect vase for a bigger flow ..read more

Historical apartment in warm neutrals
Studio Anu Reinson

I just have to share this Swedish apartment with amazingly beautiful historical details because of two reasons - first as I really like how it looks with combined modern decor and turn of the century details and second because there’s my ‘Drift’ fine art print hanging on the wall in the dining nook. The overall color scheme is really calm and neutral yet so warm and welcoming. Light beige walls look so beautiful with white trims, mouldings, doors and windows. Different shades of brown and warm toned flooring make the look so harmonious. Also wanted to let you know that there’s a campaign runn ..read more

Caffee-like coffee moments at home
Studio Anu Reinson
by Anu Reinson
3y ago
Now that we spend most of our days in home it’s essential to bring some variety into daily life and not to lose ourrself into endless circle of working, cooking and trying to entertain kids. For me those little breaks are my coffee moments. This is my time to unwind and do something nice - like look Pinterest or Instagram for inspiration or read magazines and books. Not all of my coffee moments look like this one on the photos - some of them are held around the table full of kids craft supplies, board games and toys. Or on messy sofa and me desperately trying to find a place for my coffee cup ..read more

Growing new roots
Studio Anu Reinson

“Grow new roots" - Iittala’s slogan for this spring invites us to welcome the new season with bringing more nature to our homes, being thoughtful of our habits and decluttering our environment to have a fresh start. To seek balance with nature and to find balance with ourselves. In the context of what is happening in the world right now “Grow new roots” has even deeper meaning to me. During the last weeks many of us have found ourselves in completely different life compared to what it used to be. We have been ripped out from our comfortable everyday life and we have to adapt in this completel ..read more

Minimalist luxury. Styling with news from Iittala
Studio Anu Reinson
by Anu Reinson

Minimalist luxury is a pair of words that for me describes so well the aesthetics and feel of Iittala’s products. For this setup on my sideboard I used different pieces from Iittala’s Alvar Aalto collection and their new lovely Miranda bowl. All the pieces shown here are in most beautiful new color called linen (that is also Iittala’s annual color for this year) what brings sophisticated natural warmth to the interior and goes so well with my current obsession with earthy brown and beige tones. I love that linen tone so much that if I was able to choose some pieces for this styling I didn’t h ..read more

Space to feel comfortably you
Studio Anu Reinson

These styled photos of Ferm Living spring-summer 2020 collection have been waiting patiently to be shared here for quite many weeks. I don’t know if it were those photos itself, some of the new products which I really like or words in the foreword of this catalogue (which really spoke to me) that caught my attention. This collection is entitled “Space to feel comfortably you” and this resonated with my ideas so well - when creating a home for myself or for a client the most important thing to think about is what it is what you are looking from your home and what are your own values so that th ..read more

Christmas mood with Iittala + gift guide
Studio Anu Reinson
by Anu Reinson

Christmas is around the corner and little by little our home has got also a more festive look with candles and pine branches and fairy lights here and there. I don’t start decorating early, rather I wait for the 1st December and then go on during the month with the final culmination of bringing in the Christmas tree some days before 24th December. For me this is the ultimate Christmas feeling when the tree is in and I don’t want to dilute that feeling by bringing the tree in earlier. Another thing that goes hand in hand with Christmas is the tradition of gift giving. As we are living in the ..read more

Warm light filled space with textured wall
Studio Anu Reinson

This is such an interesting space full of character because of the raw heavily textured walls in living room and dining room. Usually I don’t like interior photos shot with artificial lightning on, but this space feels really warm and welcoming because of the lights. It must be the dark and cozy time we are in that makes warm light on the photos so appealing. And I love how my ‘Drift’ fine art print looks against the raw wall - the oversized framing gives it a nice wide white passepartout which I really like in this setting. Styling by GreyDeco, photos by Janne Olander ..read more
