Where can a guy get a pants shittingly good Italian sub? Just something that’ll make me start speaking in tongues and maybe even experience stroke.

I'm planning to visiting the zoo for 1 day with 4 adults and 1 toddler under 3 years old (free). If I buy 4 adult 1-day passes, that's $72*4=$288. But if I get 1 Wildlife Protector membership (cheapest membership option for non-residents), it's $139. The membership comes with one free 1-day guest pass and two 50% discounted tickets. If I take advantage of both of them, the total comes out to $139+$0+($722)50% = $211!! And this doesn't include extra 10% discount on dining and merchandises. Plus it comes with a parking pass!!! Getting one membership for even just 2 adults for a 1-day visit is a ..read more

Best places to speak Japanese in San Diego?
San Diego | Reddit

Hi everyone, moving back to the states after 8 years living in Japan. Going from speaking and being immersed daily to not at all is going to be weird to say the least. Is there any specific places where Japanese is primarily spoken or any clubs, stuff like that? Most of the places I saw on the subreddit were food recommendations and language schools but not much else. Thanks! submitted by /u/PsychotherapeuticPly [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Why are people putting their dog in the shopping cart at the grocery store?
San Diego | Reddit

Today at Vons in PB, I saw a large dog in a shopping cart. I got the same gag reflex that I get everytime I see a dog in a cart at the grocery. It seems to be a proliferation of this BS in the last year. Now I don’t even want to put my groceries in one of these carts. Like why? I’ll be picking dog fur and fecal matter out of my groceries after using one of them. Later, I asked the cashier what was going on recently with this and he said that it could violate state law if they prevented people from doing this, because it could be a service dog. I would think that a service dog wouldn’t be taug ..read more

Best vegetarian sushi?

Ever since Aki Hana in RB closed down my mom and I have been looking for a new sushi place to frequent. We’ve been having an issue finding a restaurant with quality vegetarian options for my mom. She prefers not to have cream cheese in her sushi rolls or lettuce, and for the vegetable tempura includes more than just carrots, zucchini, potatoes, and onions. I’d prefer someplace that isn’t fully vegetarian/vegan so I could get some regular rolls as well. submitted by /u/SoTotallyTired [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Real Page and Local Landlords scamming renters all across San Diego.
San Diego | Reddit

Real Page has essentially created what appears to be a cartel or cartel-like environment for large property management companies across the USA, driving up prices for all Americans, while not creating any added value. They made the news a few years ago, and recently, with several lawsuits coming online to address what appeared to be apparent price fixing activity of Real Page and its associated property management companies. https://www.propublica.org/article/yieldstar-rent-increase-realpage-rent What would be an effective first steps towards creating a coalition of renters, a union of so ..read more
