Lagan Materials Ltd., Bweeng, Mallow County Cork, now trading as Breedon Ireland, wwas convicted and fined €3,000 at Mallow District Court on Monday 9 January 2023, following a prosecution taken by Inland Fisheries Ireland.
The defendants did not appear before the Court and Judge Joanne Carroll expressed surprise and disappointment at their absence. McBurney Transport Group has opted to fit all new refrigerated trailers with solar panels from Genie Insights, following an extensive one-year trial. The 50-watt panels have been fitted to the roof of each trailer with the primary function of keeping fridge batteries in a charged state to prevent battery related breakdowns and costs.
