The Crestwood Board of Aldermen unanimously approved an ordinance granting a conditional use permit to Sam’s Club, 10248 Big Bend Blvd., to expand its existing gas station from six to eight pumps at its March 26 meeting.
The new pump will be added on the west end of the fuel station, bordering residential property in Kirkwood.
The six current pumps at Sam’s Club, located in the C-1 local commercial district, were built in 2001 following the approval of a conditional use permit and site plan in June of that year. The original CUP from 2001, however, only approved a six-pump station ..read more

While the season didn’t end quite the way he hoped for, Lindbergh boys basketball coach Nathan Biggs still considers the 22-6 campaign by the Flyers a success.
“We had a very tough final game to a successful season,” Biggs said. “We knew that we had a chance to win some games this year and we had some guys really step up to lead us to our 22-6 final record.”
Quinn Sunderland and Zac Goss were key contributors to the team this season.
Goss averaged 16 points per game in his senior season, while fellow senior Sunderland averaged 12.6 points per game and 9.5 rebounds.

While the team may be light on players, two returning athletes are primed to face the competition this spring for Mehlville’s boys’ golf squad: Senior Mickey Barrett and junior Cole Daily.
Team-wise, the Panthers finished 3-5 last season, but with limited golfers this season, the outlook is a bit different for head coach Steve Kress.
“Unfortunately, we are very light on players for team scores,” Kress said. “But, as individuals, the two returning players (Barrett and Daily) have a good chance of shooting some low scores. I think a good goal for us is to keep it fun and play smart.”
