Hello! Right now I’m a senior in high school trying to choose between schools. My options are CSU Humboldt, CSU Sonoma, University of Vermont, and University of New Hampshire. I’m also on the waitlist for SUNY ESF. Which, out of the schools listed, do you think would be the best program? What I’m looking for is more hands on, field experience. If anyone knows anything about these schools, please let me know!

Can someone ID this snake species and answer the question below?
It came out of someone’s car and fell on the road. Then went up onto a curb and into a tree where at least 40 grackles surrounded it. They were pecking at it and I saw it strike back a few times but didn’t hit any.
Went shopping for about 40 min and when I came back, it was still in the tree and surrounded. The snake will probably be killed by the birds, right?

So I've been really wanting to become a zoologist and have finished a year of community college for credits, nothing in the field so far because some classes weren't open. My family and in-laws both said I should try to do vet tech as an associates degree because that should give me a good baseline for income and then I can finish zoology. Would that associates be able to parlay or would I still need to do a full four-year for zoology?

Letter is a symbol for a certain sound we humans can do, but what letters can apes speak, we know that monkeys can make different sounds and we should be able to write those using letters... Right?

I remember as a kid, there were bats all around my house. I would go outside at dusk and night time and hear them flying around and vocalizing. Now, nothing. I didn’t even notice when it stopped, but the other day I thought to myself that I haven’t seen or heard bats anymore.
For reference, I live in sw Texas between San Antonio and the Mexican border.
