Both schools finished with 18 victories. And both teams are off to stellar starts during the 2024 campaign, and the drama was so thick during Thursday’s Red Rock Conference clash you needed a steak knife (not a butter knife). The schedule was rougher last week for the Pipestone Area Schools baseball team, which included a game against state-ranked Windom on Tuesday, April 23. Big South Conference games versus Worthington and Windom were wild, with both games accounting for a garish 29 runs in each contest. Home plate was the site of the stomp, so to speak.  Then Jackson County Central swept PAS in a doubleheader on Thursday, April 25, by scores of 6-1 in Game One and 9-2 in Game Two. “We had too many errors,” PAS head coach Ryan Koopman admitted, “but, several of them were tough plays.
