Couple months ago my friend and I were having drink at Black Sandy Beach in Santorini, Greece. There aren’t a lot of breweries in Greece, and craft beer scene is just starting to grow. The Santorini Brewing Company is popular on the islands for it’s Red, Yellow, Lazy Ass, and Slow Donkey beers. I just wrapped up two months in Asia with majority of it being in SE Asia. I was with a large group in Thailand, so I wasn’t able to explore the Craft Brew Scene there, so I don’t think it’s fair for me to make any comments about Thailand’s craft beer scene. But in Cambodia & Vietnam my take is the most of the locals aren’t into craft beer. They love to drink (especially in Vietnam) but I believe the cost is a big factor for locals on sticking to their local beers.
