Another year, another silly amount of mock drafts. I kept track of all the 1st round mock draft selections for the New England Patriots from August 2023 to April 2024. Here were some of the results:
Most picks I've ever kept track of (next highest was 2021 with 1444)
Drake Maye has the most picks I've ever kept track of (next highest was Mac Jones in 2021 at 249)
Italicized players were selections before they pulled out of the NFL Draft
First Round Picks - 1626
QB - 1136
Drake Maye - 557
Jayden Daniels - 395
J.J. McCarthy - 93
Caleb Williams - 49
Bo Nix - 23
Michael Penix Jr. - 13

As most of this sub is aware. Bill Belichick is on the Pat McAfee show providing draft coverage.
Does anyone know if you need to have an ESPN+ subscription to watch or will it be free on his typical YouTube live streams?

I’m interested in how everyone plans on celebrating the beginning of the future! Are you going to a bar, hosting a party, or in a private “leave me alone” setting?? What Jersey are you wearing? Are you watching the McAfee/Belichick coverage or ESPN? What are you eating (tonight mayo goes on everything)?
Personally I will have all notifications turned off until the Pats make their pick and I’m immediately going into the Vikings sub draft thread.
Hope everyone has fun tonight!

I live in Minnesota and nonstop I hear friends, coworkers, etc assume that NE will trade the #3 pick for peanuts. Had one guy at work last night suggest that they're #11 pick and 23 was more then enough. Another said JJ was worth our #3 alone.

I never understood the “if the Pats haven’t been offered a bag yet, unlikely that they will” narrative. That bag could change based on who is available at 3.
The Patriots likely have every contingency mapped out to the extent that they can. They’ll also have to wait to see what unfolds.
Nearly all of what we’ve heard has come from agents and not war room sources. The rest would be speculation, misinformation, or reading tea leaves.
I believe the action starts after the WAS pick. The Patriots will review offers and available prospects and decide.
To those who don’t like the idea of J ..read more

I’ve been watching the pats for 30+ years and never cared about the draft. I don’t follow college ball and we’ve been so good for so long, I’ve just trusted BB to cook. But I’m really excited about where we are and what happens next. Odds are we’re going to be mid for a very long time, but hey, there’s always a chance.
I now get why the fans of every other team obsess over this process. I know that sounds condecending and first world problems and all that, but it has been really fun watching film breakdowns and all these crazy mocks. Being where we are has unlocked a whole new facet of the ga ..read more
