Texas Right to Life
by Kim Schwartz

A 28-year-old Dutch woman has scheduled her death by euthanasia because she’s depressed. Zoraya ter Beek is in love with her boyfriend, lives in a nice house, cherishes her two cats, and had dreams of being a psychiatrist. Delayed by depression, autism, and borderline personality disorder, she never gathered the strength to finish school or start a career, she told The Free Press. Her psychiatrist told her, “There’s nothing more we can do for you. It’s never gonna get any better.” At that point, she said, she decided to die. “I was always very clear that if it doesn’t get better, I can’t do th ..read more

Texas’ First Safe Haven Baby Box Installed in This City
Texas Right to Life
by Kim Schwartz
1w ago
Abilene became the first city in Texas to put up a Safe Haven Baby Box at a local fire station. The box is temperature-controlled, padded, and monitored, providing a safe and anonymous option to parents wishing to surrender their children. When someone opens the door of the box, a silent alarm alerts firefighters who then would take the baby to a hospital for a medical evaluation. A local Pro-Life organization raised $20,000 to make this option a reality in Texas and it was finally installed at Abilene’s Fire Station No. 7 Tuesday. Tragically, Texas leads the nation in infant abandonment, acco ..read more

How Plastic Wrap Saved Baby Born with Organs Outside Her Body
Texas Right to Life
by Kim Schwartz

Doctors saved a baby born with her organs outside of her body by using a surprisingly simple trick and no surgery. Sadie Montgomery, 21, from Wilshire, United Kingdom, went in for her 12-week scan and discovered that her preborn daughter, Dorothy, had an extreme form of gastroschisis. Dorothy had a hole in her belly button that allowed her intestines to extend outside of her body. The CDC says, “The hole can be small or large and sometimes other organs, such as the stomach and liver, can be found outside of the baby’s body as well.” Dorothy’s case was particularly severe. Not only did her inte ..read more

Life in the Balance: The Supreme Court Reviews Use of Abortion Pill
Texas Right to Life
by Ashley Leenerts
2w ago
The Supreme Court of the United States heard oral arguments reviewing whether the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) followed proper protocol in loosening safeguards on the abortion pill mifepristone. If the Court decides that the FDA acted unlawfully, distribution of the abortion pill would be significantly limited. Abortionists could no longer send the pill through the mail, even in pro-abortion states, and use of the pill would be limited to earlier in pregnancy. This case was brought by four national medical associations, four doctors, and Alliance Defending Freedom, asserting that the FDA ..read more

The Supreme Court of the United States will hear oral arguments today regarding the abortion drug mifepristone. The court’s decision could dramatically reduce the distribution of abortion pills nationwide, saving preborn babies and protecting mothers. Democratic administrations over the last 24 years loosened restrictions on abortion pills through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), putting pregnant women at risk and increasing deaths of children in the womb. Four national medical associations, four doctors, and Alliance Defending Freedom sued the FDA for neglecting to follow its own proto ..read more

Texas Medical Board Meets to Discuss Abortion Guidelines
Texas Right to Life
by Texas Right to Life

The Texas Medical Board (TMB) met Friday to discuss and possibly release guidelines regarding emergency medical interventions for pregnant women. Texas law clearly permits intervention by a physician when a mother’s life or major bodily function is in jeopardy because of her pregnancy. Yet, liberal media and abortion activists have caused confusion with false accusations against Pro-Life laws. Journalists have reported that intervention is not allowed until a woman is at “death’s door,” and that cases of fetal disability count as medical emergencies. Recent challenges to Texas law, including C ..read more

Vice President Harris Visits Planned Parenthood to Promote Abortion
Texas Right to Life
by Samantha Farnsworth
1M ago
In a shocking yet unsurprising move, Vice President Kamala Harris visited an abortion facility on March 14 for a photo op in support of her radical pro-abortion values. This visit aptly demonstrates the fanatical pro-abortion stance of the current Democratic Party, moving from a position that once sought to make abortion “safe, legal, and rare” to a current advocacy for abortion as an integral part of “women’s healthcare”, completely disregarding the lives of the preborn. The visit to the Planned Parenthood facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a state with notably permissive abortion laws, highl ..read more
