By %%AUTHORLINK%   I struggle to think of things that I dislike about Autumn. The cold weather? Hmm, perhaps. But the many elements which I adore about the Autumn season greatly engulf that less-substantial negative, rather like a typhoon. I love the orange-yellow-plum colours of the leaves. I love wearing fedora hats with matching gloves. I love pumpkin-spice lattes (to go, please). I love the crisp-air sharpening my stride as I walk my dog. I love all that spooky-stuff at Halloween. But, most importantly, I love the fashion. All I can say is that Autumn fashion speaks to me ..read more

I’m Judged For My Femininity

By %%AUTHORLINK%     In the current 2018 age of #MeToo and #HeForShe, the question of femininity has never seemed more relevant. Or, indeed, more complex. In a world which is drafting and redrafting the chronicles of “What Makes A Woman”, it seems that some of us are still confused. The lines are blurred: Feminists no longer seem to have to sport the cliché Winona Ryder, circa 1999, pixie haircut; nor the stereotypical facial piercings, or even the black oversized attire. For example, I consider myself a feminist. Yet I’m unashamedly a ‘girly girl’. My hair is long and blow-dried (a ..read more

The True Meaning Of Success

By %%AUTHORLINK%   My graduation day marked a huge milestone for me, for so many reasons. It was undeniably the happiest day of my life. On our graduation stage, the guest-speaker looked down at the crowd of graduates in their gowns and said, ?SRemember: Success is not a destination point – it?"s a journey?. Those words spoke to me massively, as I recalled the amount of setbacks and emotional-knocks I experienced to reach that day… If you are struggling to succeed in any way, or know somebody who is, perhaps the story of my journey will help you. So, today, I have decided to share it. &n ..read more

How To Style Trousers In Summer
Kathryn's Katwalk

By %%AUTHORLINK% Summer: A season for skirts, dresses and shorts… But what about trousers? As the heatwave sizzles, and the sun’s exposure reach a new high (making you realise just how under-prepared your usual ‘Irish-Summer-Wardrobe’ has left you), trousers may be the last garment you’re currently considering wearing. However, despite this glorious weather, there are perhaps many occasions where you may feel the need to reach for a pair. If you’re heading to the office; have a business meeting; or an interview that you want to make an impression in – trousers can still be a summer staple in ..read more

Let’s Talk: Body Confidence

By %%AUTHORLINK%   Your body confidence, and the relationship you have with your physique, is capable of being more turbulent than an on/off relationship with a guy who can’t commit. Equally as tedious. Just as frustrating. Now, I’ll just say it: My body is most definitely not perfect. But you know what? I’m happy with that. I’m very comfortable in my own skin (excuse the cliché). And this is perhaps the “taboo” thing to say – but I think I have a healthy degree of body confidence. Having said that, it’s certainly not been a smooth journey to gain this mindset. I’ve definitely been so in ..read more

By %%AUTHORLINK%   Spring. Summer. 2018. How is it this time already? Does it not feel like an hour ago we were preparing to celebrate the new year? Now, we’re almost closing in on Easter – and it seems that time is catapulting past us at an unthinkable speed. For me, I’m beginning to come to terms with how much my life will possibly change in the next upcoming months: My university deadlines are looming next month; after which I’ll be searching for and purchasing my graduation dress; then I’ll be searching for graduate employment and internships. I feel that when Spring began, I was onl ..read more

By %%AUTHORLINK%   The festivities may be over. The season of sharing may be closed. The gift-giving may be gone. But the ‘Gifts’ section of Coast Stores is here to stay. I’ve recently collaborated with Coast to tell you not to neglect the ‘Gifts’ tab on your favourite sites, just because Christmas is behind us. Not only can you find incredible deals, but it’s always worth it to treat oneself (am I right, or am I right?). These heeled boots and clutch bag instantly leaped off the screen for me. Not only were the matching, but they were the statement pieces I needed to dress-up ..read more

By %%AUTHORLINK%   Today, I’d like to introduce you to some staple Winter accessories that I’ve been loving this season. As I spoke about in my previous post, Winter fashion is all about the layering of different materials, fabrics, and garments. These pieces can involve different textures (such as faux-fur, velvet, or wool) to create a more dynamic look. The easiest and quickest way to achieve this look is through your use of key Winter accessories. Scarves, hats, bags, gloves, wraps… There are endless accessories that I (guiltily) love to buy every year for my Winter wardrobe. Thankful ..read more

Luxury Winter Fashion Fabrics To Invest In
Kathryn's Katwalk

By %%AUTHORLINK%   Today I’m collaborating with Radley London to discuss three of my favourite luxury fashion fabrics, for you to invest in this winter. If any of you have been following me for a while, you’ll know that I’m a massive fan of high-street price tags in fashion. There’s nothing I love more than finding the perfect “grab and out-the-door” handbag for under £30. Or an oversized-scarf from Primark that will see you through the colder months… Having said that, there is definite practical (and literal) value in investing in the presence of luxurious materials in your wardrob ..read more

5 Simple Steps For A Stress-Free Life

By %%AUTHORLINK%   Stress: The killer. Not a friend. Not an enemy. But, perhaps, a ‘frienemy’. Whilst the very idea of stress might make your stomach pulse with a sense of dread – stress can, at times, be a very beneficial human emotion. Not only can stress spur motivation, but it also ignites our bodies’ natural instincts for survival during detrimental times (such as breathing faster and a quicker pulse). However, daily stress can be dangerous and severely impact our long-term health, both physically and mentally. Many of us wrongly accept day-to-day stress as routinely factor of our l ..read more
