I am currently a 17 year old highschool student in western PA and have a passionate obsession with weather. I enjoy the way it affects me in my every day life and always get super excited when I see a storm rolling in. This happened last December, but it’s been on my mind since. I took the Amtrak through the Rockies in CO, and while on the train I looked up at the mountains, and on a plateau that was small in width, but great in altitude, I saw a twister made from the snow and vapors! Hey everyone, I am neither a meteorologist nor one in training. However, I am fascinated by the weather and I'd love to learn more about it in my spare time. My math and physics background is not strong (only have a BA in biological sciences then went on to a career in health care), so I think I'd struggle with dense material that is rooted in that type of knowledge.
