The end of April is looking to end on the warmer side. As May begins, temperatures will hang around average to below average. Not much to worry about concerning heavy precipitation.

Visiting Fall 2024

Have a rental car and a week in September to wander around Ohio to Massachusetts. One must-see for Hubby is Plymouth Rock. What else should we see? History, food, music (R&R HOF will be a stop). Driving isn't a problem. Not so much about hiking or seeing the leaves change color. Thanks for your input! submitted by /u/ANDismyfavoriteword [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Why does Vermont produce dramatically more maple syrup than every other New England state?

According to the USDA data Vermont is the leading producer of maple syrup in the country, with more than 2 million gallons in 2023. This is more than all the other New England states combined. Vermont produces 4x as much syrup annually as Maine and almost 15x more than New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I wasn't surprised they're the leading producer, but just by how much is kind of shocking given the similar geography of the states. Especially Maine considering its 4x as large by area as Vermont. submitted by /u/canadacorriendo785 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

However Keene tends to be oblivious to the surrounding town and the residents are often shocked to hear of things like power outs still going, roads not plowed, etc. However those towns that are around Keene are mainly aware of the few towns around them. Those south and north of Keene rarely mingle much. Etc. Do ..read more
