So it’s been a lifetime since I’ve sat down to write a blog post, something I used to do all the time. It’s the reason my job is what it is, I started my blog because of my love for writing, fashion, and documenting things. I’ve kept diaries all my life and I can definitely express myself better with written words that I can get across on video sometimes. But times have changed, and I changed with them. People prefer watching videos than reading, that’s what the numbers on my Google Analytics tell me anyway, so I decided to put my time where it’s more valuable – in Instagram & YouTube (tha ..read more

So this is actually my boyfriend’s mate’s date story, but it’s so horrifically genius I’ve told EVERYONE. FYI… this is not a pretty story and make sure you’ve already eaten before reading this. So this guy was casually dating a new lady in his life. They went out for a curry together and then went back to his place. He mentioned at this point to my boyfriend that he had bit of a dicky tummy before heading to bed…He said he woke up in pain from his dicky belly and realised he had ‘soiled’ himself in the bed with his new lady friend laying next to it. He ran to his bathroom, cleaned him ..read more

This was one of the most awful dates ever, so here goes… At uni I matched with a guy on tinder. I saw him a few time’s on nights out and eventually agreed to a date!  We went to a really nice Italian in the city, really quiet and romantic! We’re chatting away and I was having some issues hearing him and just took a second to adjust my hearing aid. The look on his face was a picture and he started looking around to see if anyone else had noticed what I was doing.  After we ate, in mostly silence since he was obviously speechless by my lack of hearing he said he needed the bathroom ..read more

A friend of mine set me up with one of her friends, she just gave me his Snapchat and we started talking. We got on pretty well so when he asked me if I wanted to go on a date I was looking forward to it. Due to work/ training  there was only one movie on a day and time that suited us both that week. Eager to go on the date we both agreed to go to that particular movie. When we were talking on Snapchat he kept saying that I didn’t need to bring any money he was going to pay for everything etc etc.  The day came and we were set to meet at 6:30 and the movie was to start at 7. I was there on ..read more

Hey guys. I regularly get lots of messages asking what the weather is like in New York and what you guys need to pack if you are coming on a trip. Today in the blog I’m going to take you through what I think are your best options and the top 3 things to bring on an NYC holiday right now. The weather has been pretty good at the moment. Some would say REALLY good! 2 weeks ago we had the warmest weekend with temperatures of 18 degrees. Considering it’s January and its only snowed once this year, we’ve been pretty lucky. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing prettier than New York in the ..read more

Here’s a good one, a few years back when I was single I joined POF (plenty of fish) I was just back from New York and my friend suggested it when I moved to Dublin. So I joined and was messaging a few different guys but then narrowed it down to 3 potentials, 2 of whom were quite nice, so we proceeded to exchange digits and went on dates. It was coming up to St Patricks Day so they both had asked me what my plans were, and I said I was unsure. I ended up going out with the girls and one of the guys text saying “Hey if you’re out why not meet up”. So after a few drinks I agreed, had a few mo ..read more

So I met this guy on a dating website called Badoo. He is German but I had no luck with Irish guys so I decided to branch out & see if I was more suited to another nationality. He lived in Dublin so all good there! He contacted me, we chatted, the usual. He suggested meeting up so I agreed to coffee in Dundrum. Wasn’t sure if I fancied him so didn’t want to commit to a night out etc. Went for coffee & within minutes I knew he was certainly not the one for me. Had one coffee and I politely made my excuses. He made me pay for my own coffee which is fair enough I guess. A day or two a ..read more

So I went on a date with a guy about 2 years ago that I met on Tinder. He was lovely and we got on really well over text. We decided to go on a date and it was the middle of summer and lovely weather so we decided on the zoo. He had a job interview in town that morning so I was meeting him afterwards and we were going to head there together. So there I was waiting at the spire when he walks up to me.. in a full blue suit. We’re talking the trousers, jacket, shirt, tie AND waistcoat. And the suit was an awful fit it was way way too big and hanging off him in places. I kinda jokingly went ha ..read more

Here is a wonderful story from my college days of a lad from Cork that had some boundary issues cira mid 2000s. Strike One: We were suppose to meet to watch a football game in the new bar in UCC, he was late and arrived to my house complaining that it was now too late to watch the game comfortably in a bar! Strike Two: He has brought a 6 pack of cans and proceeded to down them like he was dying of dehydration in a desert. Then asked my house mate to spot him 6 more cans! Strike Three: He is outta here After the can he realise the liquid had to go somewhere and needed the bathroom. I ..read more

So my first date, after being in a 3 yr relationship, was in Limerick. It was with an American lad I met on Tinder and I thought IDEAL, Americans have been dating for yonks and this was 2014 and the Irish hadn’t a notion. So went on the date and he’d been at a works do beforehand, drinking Jameson with the Irish and turned up so gone he never arrived. He starts off by complimenting how well I speak English for an Irish person. He then goes on to talk about his college course and how he had a module that involved Cadavers in first year. Now I try to be chatty and the likes so when we’re tal ..read more
