LEGO has announced the release of a mini adidas sneaker to complement its larger buildable shoe. We sourced a few reviewers and reversed engineered the upcoming gift-with-purchase item that will be released on July 1st 2021 to give you the instructions to build one on your own. The set itself will be unique because of printed parts and stickers. Two stickers accompany the set - one on the torso of the minifigure and one on the tongue of the shoe. The 3 stripes are printed pieces, which will be unique to the set, and the white baseball cap, to our knowledge, is also unique as far as we can tel ..read more

LEGO (China) Marketing: Creative or Controversial?

We all enjoy creativity from time to time, but when does it cross the line? It's understood when fans and hobbyists create new imagery for social media viral purposes, but when it comes from the official sources of LEGO Marketing, these images come across as culturally inappropriate. At the moment they are being shared on various social media channels and allegedly (now confirmed) released by LEGO China. We've tried to trace the source of the images but at the moment, unable to verify the origins. We've reached out to LEGO social media outlets and also the source of the images which they have ..read more

Rare LEGO items are often auctioned off on eBay, and here's one that claims to be straight off from the manufacturing lines of the most recently LEGO manufacturing facility that was officially opened the ,25th of November 2016. The LEGO piece is encased and can be seen in a milk-ish coloured 2 x 2 corner brick. Of all types of bricks that could be used, we can only speculate that this particular brick has the mold on the manufacturing lines ready to go and by whatever processes that decided it was the block of mold to be used for the test runs. Upon closer inspection, there's a 33 engraved o ..read more

Sometime back in mid-May 2017 when the LEGO Batman movie was released in digital format, a unique one-off collaboration between Apple and LEGO gave the LEGO store an overhaul and replaced as many movie images, backdrops, posters, with their LEGO equivalent minifigure and background scene equivalents. We managed to save a few screenshots from the day to share and preserve the event for you to enjoy. The movies that were LEGO-fied was certainly no accident and a lot of work had to be put into it to render the similar movie poses and scenes to stay true to the original posters and promotional s ..read more

A rare tour into a LEGO Storage collection [Pictorial]

There's something so enticing and alluring about seeing someone else's LEGO collection in storage when it's all organised and especially when it's a large collection. Bryan Maike recently had some time over a couple of long weekends and a few late nights to move his sets to a single location which is climate controlled with concrete walls and ceilings. Aside from that primary location, there's a smaller room just across the main area for more unsorted and loose bricks to be hosted. He was kind enough to allow us to share these photos with you. And before you ask, no this is NOT A RETAIL STORE ..read more

LEGO 40407 Death Star II Battle vs Return of the Jedi movie comparison: Did this scene exist?

LEGO just announced the Death Star II Battle as a LEGO GWP (Gift With Purchase) for the coming May the Fourth celebrations.  The set is a little underwhelming from what I personally think. It features the Battle on the Death Star II from Return of the Jedi. Maybe I’m not as big of a fan, but this scene brings me zero memories. I had to re-watch the scenes to refresh my memory to associate it back to the build below. In this article, I tried taking several screenshots to trigger capture the essence of the set that was built by LEGO. What I learnt is that this particular scene setup does no ..read more
