Captivating Cebu
Uncovering Eden

This is the beginning of my ode to Cebu—to my first plane ride destination, to my first trip outside of the Luzon territory, to the place that opened my doors to the world. I feel butterflies in my stomach as I wait for our flight number to get called. I pace back and forth, anxiously anticipating the inevitable. Having trust issues is not making this easy for me and I know riding a plane would mean that I would have to entrust my life to someone I don’t personally know. A part of me wants to call my Mom but this growing fire in me is telling me to suck my gut and just enjoy the ride. The cabi ..read more

Uncovering Eden

2020 have been a disastrous year to all of us. The pandemic took away lives, and moments that could have made lifetime memories. But to me, this year is also the same year I lost my original blog site content. When I say lost—I mean everything. All the past stories that I’ve shared—all gone. I wish I can rewrite them all, but I simply just can’t. I need to start over. Maybe it’s the universe telling me to let go of my old memories—to make room for new ones. Now that I have turned thirty, maybe this “erasure” is be the best thing that could happen to me. Nonetheless, this year has taught me to ..read more

Whenever I find myself in deep dilemma regarding work, I go back to where I feel most safe—photography. It doesn’t matter if I am busy—I will make time for it. Sometimes, I ask myself, “Why do I always get myself into roads which lead me to asking what I want to do in life?” Because… The post Cruising Quiapo appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

Palladin Hotel, where we are currently staying at, is near Cafe by the Ruins. My Mom and I go out at 8PM and it’s our last night here in Baguio. We walk out of the hotel and the coldness in the air makes me feel things. Its presence makes me feel like I am in… The post Cafe by the Ruins appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

A rainy afternoon in Baguio could not get any better than with a filling food and a perfect view. I have been googling for the best cafes around this beloved city and Arca’s Yard had popped up a few times. For my two-day stay, I listed down four cafes I want to try out and… The post Rainy Afternoon in Arca’s Yard appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

Taipei in Spring

It has been drizzling all over Taipei the whole morning but we decided to still go out. I wear a blue hoody and put on a leather jacket over it. As I wait under our apartment’s canopy, I stretch my arm out and try catching a few drops on my palm. They burst out even… The post Taipei in Spring appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

Six Places in Vietnam You Must Visit
Uncovering Eden

I went on a 10-day journey across the entirety of Vietnam. From the easygoing vibe of the northern province of Hanoi to the sandy dunes at the southern coast of Mui Ne, I  have conquered 6 a total of provinces. I rode planes, huge boats, motorcycles, old buses, grab car and rick shaws and ate… The post Six Places in Vietnam You Must Visit appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

National Planetarium: A Short Trip Around the Universe
Uncovering Eden

All of us had been that kid who once dreamt of travelling in space. I, too, was a victim of my overly-creative mind. In retrospect, I guess my odd fascination with space was the reason why the song, “Drops of Jupiter”  have always resonated through my soul. Or the reason why I have always wanted… The post National Planetarium: A Short Trip Around the Universe appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more

Namba Station: My Prelude to Japan
Uncovering Eden

After watching Detective Pikachu, I was still on a “high”. Seeing pokemons in the big screen feels it is 1996. Seeing the colorful Japanese neon lights like I’m some part of my favorite childhood cartoon makes me long for Japan, though, I have not been there yet. I stroll the busy hallways of Venice Piazza… The post Namba Station: My Prelude to Japan appeared first on Uncovering Eden ..read more
