Celebs collabing with brands, take notes on not overdoing it
Idalou’s pride and joy (er, that’s a little town outside of Lubbock if you’re rusty on your tiny Texas towns trivia) Josh Abbott dropped a collab with Dairy Queen (which is not a Texas brand) that is in fact the platonic ideal of a DQ order.
The country singer pulled together a package based on his favorite childhood meal: a four-piece steak finger country basket (an item available only in Texas which comes with fries, Texas toast, and cream gravy), an iced tea, and a mini M&Ms milk chocolate Blizzard.

All Dallas area stores are permanently and abruptly closed
Foxtrot has left the building. The news was first reported in the newsletter Snaxshot, which notes that Dom’s didn’t make the usual grocery order in the previous week. Reports say ..read more

A seafood tower that reaches to heaven (or Fort Worth). | The Crescent Hotel
Fort Worth is wading into “low intervention” fine dining
Preston Paine stepped into large shoes when he agreed to take over the kitchens at the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth. The job was initially given to Dean Fearing. Fans of Fearing’s kitchens will recognize the layout as having his touch — lots of chrome accents, an open kitchen with a minimalistic vibe that gives diners an X-ray view in, and a beige palette that gives timeless quiet luxury.
