Bleached Festival has dropped a preliminary artist lineup for their inaugural event, which will take place on August 5 and 6, at Waterfront Park in San Diego, Calif. Presented by local indie-pop and new alternative curator Tight Knit and FNGRS CRSSD, the festival will bring together an eclectic mix artists for two days of live music.
Headlining acts for Bleached Festivals official debut include Joji, Leon Bridges and DIY singer-songwriter Omar Apollo. Other top-billing artists on the roster are social media sensations PinkPantheress, Lizzy McAlpine and Stephen Sanchez.

Today, the folks behind the 25th annual Rhythm & Roots, Music, Dance and Food Festival delivered the names of the headliners and associated acts for the gathering, which takes place over Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 1 through 3, at Ninigret Park in Charleston, R.I.
The impending spring event will include Greensky Bluegrass, Trombone Shorty and Dumpstaphunk as headliners. The bill includes 20 other acts, such as Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble, The Revelers, Corey Ledet Zydeco, Old Fashioned Aces and more.

Alta Music Festival has announced the artist lineup for their 2023 event, which will take place on Sept. 23 and 24 in Avila Beach, Calif. Located at the ocean-side Avila Beach Resort, the festival will bring together a number of esteemed musicians for a weekend of live music under the sun. This morning, the organizers behind the annual FloydFest gathering, scheduled for July 26 through 30 in rural Check, Va., shared that the 2023 edition of the event is in limbo due to final permitting and logistical factors.
Previously the folks behind the celebration of live music, which was dubbed “FloydFest 23: Forever,” had announced that it would welcome nearly 100 artists on six stages, including headliners The Black Crowes, My Morning Jacket, Sheryl Crow and Goose.

In anticipation of their eighth studio album, Weathervanes, due on June 9 via Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers, GRAMMY-Award winners Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have released a second track from the project, entitled “Middle of the Morning.”
The new track was written during the COVID-19 lockdowns and presented Isbell’s unique approach to narrative. American singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Jenny Lewis has shared her first album in four years, Joy’All, will release on June 9 via Blue Note/Capitol Records. Accompanying the album, which serves as Lewis’ fifth solo LP and follow-up to her 2019 record On The Line, comes a new single titled “Psychos.”

“The night before the first show I did at Port Chester, N.Y.’s Garcia’s with The Englishtown Project, I was actually singing at Carnegie Hall. So I did a contemporary opera at Carnegie Hall, and the next night I was playing some Grateful Dead at Garcia’s,” Clare Maloney says with a chuckle, reflecting on the long, strange path that led to her debut studio album, Daybreaker. “It traverses so many different landscapes for the listener as you move through the album.”

Today, the legendary Bettye LaVette shared she’ll release her next offering, LaVette!, on June 16 via Jay-Vee Records. In celebration of the announcement of the collection of songs written by Randall Bramblett, LaVette released a new song titled “Plan B.”
