I'm just back from a trip to Maryland to help my parents out. They've got overlapping care needs right now and it's time to lean in. I'm fortunate that they've been relatively healthy and independent for the first 50 years of my life. They are great parents and exceptional grandparents full of love and compassion. My brother and I are are happy to help because there's not a lot of drama in our house. I realize this isn't the same for everyone. And if you add on layers of hurt feelings, neglect, or worse, it gets more complicated.

When Amazon started feeding me links to cloth makeup removers, I mostly ignored them. But one night as I was getting ready for bed I saw the big raccoon black marks on my white face towel AFTER I had washed my face and removed my eye makeup with a makeup remover pad and thought: "Why not try!" I started testing these new cloth makeup removers and now I'm hooked, they are a beauty essential and now part of my everyday skincare routine.

If your husband is anything like mine, shopping for a Father's Day gift is no easy feat. Gifts are just not his thing. It's as simple as that. If he feels like he needs something, he picks it up. And he doesn't expect gifts for any holiday which can make it tricky for his wife, moi, a woman who loves to give gifts and the kids (they get so excited to shop for dad). Since the dad here loves skiing and the mountains, we tend to stick to Father's Day gifts with a ski dad theme.

Getting a good night's rest plays a crucial role in every aspect of my life. It helps me parent better, stay healthy and be productive at work. I have been struggling to get comfortable every night for a few months now and I have tried everything except changing my mattress. That is until last month when we had the opportunity to try a Sealy mattress.
When It's Time to Update Your Mattress
I'm a bit embarrassed to tell you how long we've had our mattress. Let's just say it's a VERY long time. Like more than one decade. Oof.

Hey mamas, it's almost our day! Mother's Day is tomorrow and though it's not snowing, I'm thinking about winter. The numbers came out from last year's ski season and they look good. There was a 6% increase in the number of ski visits last season. And you know what it takes to create more skiers? Babies! That's right. This industry needs to figure out how to celebrate a ski mom on Mother's Day.
