The display on my pump seems to have quit working. I really need to clean my pool but I haven't messed with it because I'm afraid I won't get it back to it's normal schedule again.
Is this fixable? Can I guy just replace that display piece with a new one and attach it easily?
Do I need to replace the whole damn thing? Are current pumps more energy efficient? That seems to be what some friends tell me but this is already a variable speed.
I don't know how old it is, but it was on my pool when I moved here almost 10 years ago.

Past few years, i've been using a combination of chlorine tablets, shock, liquid chlorine (chlorox), borax, muriatic to balance chemicals. With crazy prices rn, i wonder if i can skip the shock and 3" chlorine tablets going forward. Liquid chlorine goes for around $4-5/gal around here. For a 28K gal inground pool, how many gal of liquid chlorine I should add every 2 or 3 days to keep it balanced?

Recently moved in with my grandma with early onset Alzheimer’s to help take care of her. Noticed that the pool was getting pretty full of pollen and wanted to backwash the filter because the flow of the pool water was low. However the filter doesn’t have a lever for backwashing so was curious if anyone here would know how to do it with this setup

Hello Everyone!
My pool got plastered and filled with water yesterday and just noticed there is about 7-10 6 inch - 1 foot cracks on the bottom.
Is this normal? I read 24 hours after filling of the pool they should seal themselves.
Any advice or input would be great.
Thank you!

just moved in this week never had a pool before. Is this a hole for a umbrella? Just making sure that doesn’t release magma from the earths core.

We treated with >20ppm FCL overnight and they haven't gone away at all. Before we filled it, I thought they might've been black algae (cyanobacteria) stains and while my boss agreed, our local pool company recommended we shock it. I was confused by this because I read that black algae is highly resistant to Cl.
Any ideas how to resolve this with a filled pool? Brushing doesn't do anything. Any advice appreciated.

I shocked my pool last night and ran it overnight with the pool return on for best circulation. I woke up to have lost about 5+ inches of water and just this area of the pool decking is wet.
This has never happened before. I believed to have had a small leak somewhere but now this seems bad. Could it be under this area of the deck? TIA!

Setting up for another pool season was wondering if anybody has any favorite skimming nuts, brushes holes that I should be on the lookout for. I’m a big fan of the three part extension because it fits better in my truck for the pole. I use the sweep, easy brushes because I feel like they give me better grip to pool surfaces. but I’m looking for a good net that I can replace or it’s tough to break if anybody has any suggestions please leave a link in the comments I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
