All four players committed to FSU without knowing who their coordinator would be
For all recruits, choosing their next step is a leap of faith to some degree.
For those who chose Florida State this offseason, it was a two-fold level of belief. Not only were the Seminoles coming off a staggering failure of a season but FSU had replaced multiple coaches on each side of the ball, namely its offensive and defensive coordinators.
While multiple recruits bailed out of the program when staff changes occurred, this offseason has featured sitdowns with the players who ran towards the fire without know ..read more

Your daily dose of all things Florida State
Football:
Redshirt freshman defensive back Charles Lester was booked on a DUI charge over the weekend; hopefully this will be the last kind of this news as FSU has generally been devoid of off the field incidents under Mike Norvell’s tenure.
The Football players were enjoying some Softball this weekend just like the rest of us:

Redshirt freshman appeared in four games last season
Florida State redshirt freshman cornerback Charles Lester III was arrested and charged with a DUI in Manatee County on Monday, police records show.
Lester III, who is from Sarasota, was booked and released on a $500 bond.
He appeared in four games for FSU as a true freshman last season, racking up three tackles and a pass breakup.
The arrest is one of the few that have occurred at Florida State under head coach Mike Norvell — last season defensive back Shyheim Brown was also charged with ..read more

Seminoles get creative producing runs in final game of Clearwater
Almost 24 hours after their dominating win over Wichita State, Florida State was the final game of the Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater Invitational. Up against the UCF Knights, the Seminoles were tabbed as the away team, immediately starting against Yessenia Lopez for the Knights. The ‘Noles got some traffic on the bases, but couldn't piece anything together in the first inning.
In the circle for FSU, Annabelle Widra got the ball against UCF. A pair of singles from Sierra Humphreys and Izzy Mertez had trouble for Widra, but two ..read more

The Noles start are flying out of the gates to begin 2025.
If the opening weekend against James Madison was the appetizer, then Florida State baseball could be preparing an incredible meal for the 2025 season.
FSU’s stars on the mound and at the plate helped rip apart a JMU team that went to the NCAA tournament a season ago. Florida State won a combined 25-2 this weekend, displaying the potential of this roster.
Jamie Arnold and John Abraham vanquished the JMU lineup on Friday night, combining for 16 strikeouts while allowing only two base runners. The Dukes looked lost at the plate as both p ..read more

Seminoles fight from behind to come out on top of the Shockers
Florida State softball now ends day three in Clearwater at the Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater invitational. After a pair of 9-1 run rules over No. 16 Missouri and Ohio State, the Seminoles took on the Wichita State Shockers on Saturday night.
In the circle, it was Makenna Reid who got the start for the last game of the Saturday slate. Reid made quick work of the Shockers first three batters, capping it off with stellar defense from Kennedy Harp.
