What an opener to the season for our Year 5/6 girls football team. The team drew 1-1 with a fantastic Lawley Primary School in an end to end match that could of seen either team take all 3 points at the end. It hasn’t been easy getting fixtures back up and running this year but as the old saying goes “Nothing easy is worth doing” and we think the photo proves it was worth doing. We now look forward to the first boys match of the season on Friday. #TeamGP #AllForTheKids ..read more

We’ve just received an email from Shropshire Schools FA to confirm our U11 girls Shropshire final won’t be going ahead this year for obvious reasons. This means both ourselves and Priorslee Academy have been crowned joint winners for 2019/2020. The girls performed amazingly to reach the finals, playing 7 matches, winning 6, drawing 1 and losing 0. They also scored 15 goals and conceded 0. They’re still hoping the U10 girl’s final will be played next year. #TeamGP ..read more

Unfortunately our Year 3/4 football match against St Patrick’s Primary School today had to be cancelled. As our boys were so disappointed, we decided to hold our own in house football match. The boys all had a fantastic time and the match finished 3-3, with the yellow team scoring a last minute equaliser after being 3-1 down with only 5 minutes left. The game was very competitive throughout with both teams desperate to win. This was the 1st time lots of these children had ever played in a competitive football match and they were fantastic. Mr Thorpe commented on how well all the b ..read more

Tonight Grange Park Primary School received ‘The SSSAA Peter Cates Primary School Achievement Award’ for our successful girls football teams over the last two years. As we’ve had over 40 girls represent a girls football team this year already, we had to pick 6 names out of a hat to attend the awards. The girls had a great night listening to Shrewsbury Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Dave Edwards and Nic Coward from UK Athletics. As expected, the girls were all superbly behaved but we might have 6 very tired children in school tomorrow. #TeamGP ..read more
