Which is the greater feat of strength, Muhammad Ali beating George Foreman in his physical prime, or Muhammad Ali in his senior years, suffering from Parkinsons disease, flying to Iraq with no security and negotiating the release of American prisoners to Saddam Hussein himself? You ever done the whole, ‘where was I this time last year?’ 5 years? 7 years? 10 years? I think it’s the grown up version of when we would draw lines on the wall as kids to measure our height and compare ourselves to it just to make sure progress was being made. Hello 2020. In Grade 7, I had this teacher, ‘Ms. D’.  Known to be super cool.  Everyone loved her.  She was chill, funny, fair and vibey.  No one disrespected her, or caused ruckus in class.  It was a smooth experience with her.One week before classes started in September the school would put out a list as to whose class you were assigned to.  Students literally rejoiced when they found out they would be in her class.However, as the school year unfolded her students had a range of achievements; she had a bunch of students who failed, passed and excelled.  As much as her reputation for a smooth class prece ..read more
