I added a few photos to show different types of dogs/grooms. I started grooming OFFICIALLY on my own in May of 2022. Just started in private this January. So these are only the dogs since I’ve left corporate.

Basically the title.
The environment in my current salon had a 180 shift recently and I finally reached out and have a few interviews with other salons. I'm so scared to put in my 2 weeks. I don't want there to be any beef, my current salon is just no longer a good fit for me. Tips and advice appreciated.

Any recommendations (other than Kenchii, I already have them) for left handed shears? Also, what are your favorite right handed shears? I’ve learned how to use my right hand, but I prefer my left.

Hi, we got him when he was 1 has been to groomer twice for nails and paw clean up but we’d like to help him clean up and make sure we’re doing it right he’s finally taking up to healthy weight and eating habits although he is having a persistent dry nostril as show we’re going to vet soon to assist. As for his breed we haven’t gotten him DNA tested yet so breeds were at a guessing stage on

I have been grooming Finnley since he was a baby and now he is 3! Today is the first time we changed his haircut and tried something new! They were very slight changes but man did it make a world of a difference. Cutest he has ever looked, mom was so excited. I love this boy and I love being able to look back and see the progress I’ve made as a Groomer in only 1.5 years. Bonus bath photo at the end!

Did my first poodle mustache today. His rear bracelets are choppy because the owners cut out mats before the groom.

okay so i’ve been at this for about five months. i’m desperate to learn grooming, but my manager and the groomer have me roadblocked.
the groomer told me yesterday that i was delusional and not strong enough for the job.
delusional because im slower (it takes me 10-20 minutes to bathe a dog, depending on coat, temperament, etc) and anywhere from 10-60 minutes to dry the dogs, most of the time. i have adhd and i recognize that i’m slower, but im working to get faster and i really don’t think im THAT slow??? and i don’t think going a little slower should mean i have to give up my dream. it’s no ..read more

He hates having anything done to his front legs, even velocity drying. But his owners don’t brush them so they’re always matted. So I gotta dematt which he hates and I hate. He’s lucky he’s so cute!!
