I’ve been dealing with a lot on my mind for the past couple of years because of all these intrusive thoughts in my mind. These are all related to the fact that I don’t have a girlfriend and there is literally nobody who has even found me to be interesting. I’ve done a lot of bad and cringy things that I can’t move on from and I feel hurt when I look back on all these horrible things that I’ve done as a person I’ve never experienced romance such as cuddling or my first kiss or anything like that My parents are probably disappointed that I can’t find a better job because I am not good at anythi ..read more

I literally can't take selfies without feeling insecure and I can't go out in leggings without feeling like I'm being judged and I can't wear my favorite pair of jeans without being cat called for no reason and I started just not like myself that much anymore and I want to know if there's just a way to start liking myself again cuz I haven't felt good in a long while it's really starting to make me feel awful mentally, and it doesn't help when you don't have anyone to understand your struggle submitted by /u/horrorisntdead22 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I don't love myself

So I do go to therapy (went today actually virtually.) She asked me if I loved myself and I said no. Sure I'm trying to be healthier and exercise and do my art but... I don't think I like myself or love myself. I use physical affection as a bandage for a bullet hole that is the lack of self love. It's hard to give myself grace.... Idk venting rn Edit: a Lil more context. I'm super morbidly obese like 390s lb. Um I have pcos, facial hair, and some weird dry circular patches on my skin thay only went away when I lost weight but I gained it back again. Um one day my friends made a silly hit list ..read more

How do I get my self.love back after a breakdown?

Basically had a breakdown due to a traumatic event and moved back into my parents. Was very 'needy' during this period. As a result I sort of lost my self love. How do I get that self love back? My parents sort of treat me like dirt for not having any self love. So it's hard to get it back. submitted by /u/Even-Specific-2766 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi. I'm currently working through the book 'love yourself like your life depended on it'. I'm doing the practice. If not familiar, it involves repeating I love myself in various forms of affirmation, meditation and to yourself in the mirror. As well as forgiving yourself and writing a vow to love yourself. There's a lot more to it and worth a read/listen. Any way, I've been doing the practice pretty full on to work through a rough time, and I'm finding myself getting really tired mentally. Does anyone else find this with, doing the work involved with intense self love ? Will it get less tirin ..read more
