I am really excited about today’s project, as it’s something I had been looking forward to designing and building for quite some time. Today I’m sharing my DIY record player table with you! Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Kreg. All opinions are my own. I teamed up with Kreg for this build, and you can find the build plans and full tutorial over on their site. As for the details, I added prefabricated legs to this record player table and a pretty, modern brass drawer pull for the drop-down compartment door. I added a drop-down compartment because quite frankly I absolutely hate building ..read more

One of the things that makes Sedona special is its spiritual energy. It’s hard to really explain it, but some people believe there are energy vortexes there. We visited a few of them, and today I want to share our experience as well as a bit of information about these vortexes. First of all, what exactly are these Sedona “vortexes”? They are swirling centers of energy, and some people believe they provide healing energy and are good for meditation and introspection. It is believed that you will find clarity, healing, answers you seek, and more. There are seven known vortexes in Sedona. We vi ..read more

I recently took a trip to Sedona, Arizona, and it was absolutely spectacular. I have so much to share about the trip that I’ll be breaking it up into multiple posts, but today I wanted to just share a broad overview of the entire trip. First of all, if you’ve never been to Sedona, GO! It is so beautiful, and there is just something so calming and healing about it. It’s hard to even explain but it has an energy all its own. I took my cousin and my friend on this girls’ trip with me, and we had an amazing time. We started by flying into Phoenix and taking a shuttle 2 hours to Sedona, where we ..read more

Hello and welcome to a brand new(ish) section on my blog, all about travel and adventure! (I say “new-ish” because I’ve blogged about a few trips years ago, but nothing consistent.) I’ve been traveling more since my divorce a few years ago, particularly recently, and I decided I might as well start documenting my adventures. Not only do I want to capture my vacations, but I also want to share travel tips, general recommendations, as well as adventures in my own city of Atlanta. I have a brand new Instagram account to go along with this new chapter of my blogging journey, and you can follow th ..read more

I built a tool caddy a while back, and this time around I needed something a little bit smaller and lightweight. I also wanted to add a fun little design detail, so I created this fun little DIY stenciled tool tote. I’m teaming up with Kreg to share build plans and a full tutorial for this project over on their site. As usual, I used my Kreg Jig 520PRO to build this tool tote. I love it because it’s user-friendly and portable. I used a vinyl cutting machine to create the tool decals which I used as stencils. I applied them to the tote along with a diagonal strip of painter’s tape, painted o ..read more

Looking for a simple woodworking project? I’ve got you covered. I’m teaming up with Kreg to bring you a tutorial for this DIY wooden planter! Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Kreg. All opinions are my own. With this project, you can insert a pre-potted plant or you can add lanscape fabric and soil and plant something directly into the planter. I used the Kreg Jig 520-PRO for this project, which you probably know by now is my favorite. It’s lightweight, portable, and very user-friendly. You can also customize this planter to any color or finish you choose. I used a special walnut stain ..read more

DIY Bench with Hairpin Legs

When I first moved into my house two years ago, I built a cute little bench for the end of my bed (you can see it here). Well, my now 8 year-old promptly did a front flip off the bed and broke it. Rather than repair the old one, I decided I wanted a different style entirely so finally got around to building a new one. I’m teaming up with Kreg to share build plans and a tutorial for my new DIY bench with hairpin legs. (Much sturdier and harder to break!) Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Kreg. All opinions are my own. This DIY bench with hairpin legs is a simple build (you know I love tho ..read more
