Hope I’m in the right section,, anybody familiar with Avanti 7.1 cubic inch apartment refrigerator/freezer
Model # AVRPD7300BW ??
Has a small freezer on top of fridge but there’s no fan to blow cold air from freezer to fridge like most refrigerators,, I was thinking about cutting a small section out between the two and put a small fan to blow air from the freezer compartment to the fridge compartment when the unit kicks on ,
LoTs of cold air in freezer that’s not being used for anything...

Hi! My wife and I have been in the UK for a couple weeks and we’ll be here for a few more while we hike Hadrian’s Wall West to East and then the West Highland Way south to north. What beers should we try and where should we try them to gather intelligence and inspiration for brewing back home ..read more

OK, so I posted a question a while ago asking how many recipes you all have in the bullpen ready to brew at any given time. Now, I am thinking how many already brewed beers to you all keep at the ready, done and brewed? I typically have two, one in a keg and one in bottles. I am trying to get a routine going so I can use the yeast at least once or twice before I have to dump it due to no space in the freezer to keep it. Just thinking out loud ..read more

Hey all. I brewed a NB White IPA kit a few weeks back. They recommended T-58 as the yeast to provide some of that yeast character for the beer. The packet was fresh and got started right away. It was bubbling along very well within about 8 hours but seemed to finish up after around a total of 48 hours. I know that strain can have an active fermentation so wasn't surprised by the quick start. I let it go for a total of two weeks to allow it time to finish and when I checked the FG it...

A couple of the first few batches I brewed were kolsch and I’d like to brew another soon, but have no fermentation temp control and temperatures are rising. I was wondering what if any strains of kveik might do this style justice. Have any of you tried this ..read more

We burned up the below 5500W element, and I'm trying to buy just the element and not the stainless housing that screws onto the element. Has anyone found a place where I can buy just the TC element? I know the price difference wouldn't be much, but just seems awfully wasteful to throw out the whole thing.
Thanks,

This is my second batch using lallemand Voss Kveik, this time in a Simcoe Smash brew, mashed at 152°, pitched and fermented at around 75°
Not sure what this dense white stuff growing as Krausen is. Just a more vigorous fermentation aftermath? Never seen it before. Wasn’t on my first batch of Citra Smash using this same yeast and pitch rate either.
First 2 pics are at day 5, last 2 pics are showing day 9 (today) which now has white stuff growing onto the bottom half of the...

Built a glycol chiller from a window AC unit. Also built a wood enclosure, painted black, and added casters to move it around. Has holes for six 3/8” hoses out of the front. Worked flawlessly but I haven’t used it in a few years and it’s a little dusty.
Free to whoever wants it. Located in Upstate NY ..read more
