News and information from MCSSL Softball. The Montgomery County Senior Softball League is a Slow Pitch League that had its beginnings in March of 1999. It has ten teams, a travel team, and a winter indoor division. The league is made up of male players 60 years of age and older, whose skills may not have kept pace with their enjoyment of the game.

This year we are seeing what the medical community is calling the tridemic, a triple threat of overlapping illnesses COVID, Flu and RSV. Since we are in one of the most vulnerable groups if not the most please take whatever steps you feel necessary to protect yourself from severe illness such as the bivalent booster for Covid and the flu shot, etc. Please stay home if you are not feeling well or have an illness. The MCSSL will be playing the Ballgirls on Saturday, June 18th, at 10 am at School Road Park.
There will be a limit of 24 MCSSL players. Players will be chosen by lottery if more than 24 players sign-up to play. The fee to play is $20 and the proceeds go to the Phillies charities.
Watch for an email about signing-up to play.

The league designated the Keystone Opportunity Center in Souderton as the 2021 recipient of its annual charity donation. The Center provides food, meals, as well as management programs to help residents in need meet their housing expenses. Monetary donations received this year once again exceeded expectations, and totaled just over $4,300.
