Who can believe September is over already. It’s been busy with boys back to school, back to full work days and darker mornings. I managed to squeeze in a few days for myself on retreat in France, I now think it should be a mandatory thing to do in busy September! September seems to be birthday party season for us, not only with the two boys’ birthdays falling in late August and early September, but all their friends too, so a lot of my dairy free selections this month are handy party treats. As long time readers will know, I love France, and this was in a part of the country I had never been to, and the word retreat conjured up all kinds of relaxation and quiet and peaceful scenarios in my mind. Even better, I was going with some of the lovely free from blogger gang of ladies, some of who I had met already and ot ..read more

So can you do your dairy free shopping in Aldi? Absolutely. I first wrote this post in August 2014. It is 4 years old and one of the most popular posts on the site. Since then Aldi has come on in leaps and bounds for all sorts of dairy free and free from products, so an update is well overdue. Information is now up to date for September 2018. I first wrote the post after someone found my blog having searched for ‘dairy free in ALDI’ so I decided it might be a good idea to actually do a post like this. I have listed the items under dairy free and ‘may contain milk’ headings. While ALDI don’t h ..read more

Welcome to the dairy free product watch for June & July. What a summer we’ve been having. Is everyone else thrown by the huge change in the pace of life? I’ve been running around trying to do ALL the summer things with the kids in case the weather doesn’t last. Can’t believe the summer we’ve had so far! This product watch is VERY ice-cream heavy, there has been a plethora of new ice-creams and ice-pops on the market that are dairy free and free from. On the ice-pop front they are multi packs and from the supermarkets as opposed to being able to get single ones out and about but it ..read more
