May 7- Goa recorded approximate voting percentage of  76.06%  till the end of polls, informed CEO Goa Ramesh Verma today. South Goa voting -74.47% , North Goa is 77.69%.  Of the 11,79,344 voters 8,96,958 exercised their franchise while 2,82,386 (2.82 lakh) refrained from voting. Postal ballot and home voting have not been included in this data, Vermaadded. May 7- Goa recorded approximate voting percentage of  74.43%  till 6 pm i.e. end of polls. South Goa recorded voting percentage of 72.46% while voting percentage of North Goa is  76.54%. ECI has specified that this an approximate trend as data from some polling stations takes time and the trend also does not include data of postal ballot voting. May 7 –  The District Child Protection unit  has released the details of 21 children in 8 years to 18 years age group whose parents and relatives whereabouts are not available stating that if no claimant comes forward to state that they are related to the child within 60 days, then the child will be declared legally free for Adoption. The children are presently staying in Specialized Adoption Agency in North Goa. Digital Goa, May 2 –  Each preprimary, primary, school and higher secondary student in the State will now be assigned a unique Permanent Education Number (PEN).The number will  be used by the Education Department to track the progress of the student and more specifically to track and bring dropouts back into the system.
