Last Year, my brother moved home from college. While he was gone, he got a dog. Her name is Stormy. She is a German Shepherd Dog or GSD for short. She is purebred which means she is fully german shepherd and not mixed with any other dog breed.   When she arrived, it was spring, so she was an outside dog. But when winter came, we felt bad, and she became an inside dog.  One disadvantage of her being an inside dog is, she has a lot of hair, and she sheds a lot.  It was really nice to have Stormy here during quarantine. I basically made her my PE class. I took her for walks a ..read more

Last year, when we went into quarantine, my parents decided we needed chickens. When you grow your own chickens and feed them organic scraps, they lay organic eggs. My family likes organic food because the chemicals sprayed on produce, and the chemicals fed to animals can be absorbed into what we eat. Farm fresh eggs also make baked stuff like cakes, or cookies, better.  We didn't have any chickens, but my Papa does, and so does our friend Liz. We got the eggs from her, and incubated them. I just spent six weeks back home in Costa Rica. The dog and cats were really glad to see us. Its like theyre not even mad that we left for so long. My chickens acted like I never left at all. I really missed them. There have been so many changes at Hush Valley in this last year. i knew about all of them because my parents talk about our farm a lot but it was cool to see them all in person. First- we now have coffee trees. There are over 100 trees on the farm now. Hopefully there will be enough so we can have Hush Valley Coffee for our guests. I think it will be great because my ..read more

It was really nice to be back for a while. Not just because I got to miss school either. I had really missed doing all the fun things on the farm. I missed my chickens a lot. And my dog Bobbie. I forgot that i had so many chores everyday, but i didnt really mind doing them. Just not every day. I do like working on the chicken coop though ..read more
