Overview
Rising Stars camps are designed to provide aspiring athletes with opportunities to develop the key skills and knowledge required for competing and exceling in BMX Racing. This program may also serve as a talent identification means for upcoming years. The camps are led by experienced BMX Coaches and assisted by current/former Team Ontario athletes.

Cycling Canada is offering a National Commissaire Course for both MTB and Road disciplines as a pilot of the new National Commissaire Development Pathway. This will be the first time we offer National Commissaire training in this multi-mode method using online, virtual and in person training. The initial phases of the course work consisting of the online and virtual classes are to be completed over the summer of 2024. Reporting to the Sport Performance Director, the Performance Programs Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of athlete and coach development services, with specific attention to high performance programming across Olympic and Paralympic cycling disciplines. The youth road events have finally arrived and will kick into high gear on June 8th. Ontario Cycling (OC) will be offering two Youth Road Development Series (YRDS) races in partnership with Attack Racing. YRDS is designed to provide high quality racing opportunities for our youth in a safe and controlled manner. Three other racing opportunities are being offered to youth riders. The 30th annual Paris to Ancaster Bicycle Race (P2A) concluded on Sunday afternoon. Over 2600 individuals, including numerous participants from throughout Canada and the United States, participated in this annual challenging event. Cyclists competed across 3 different distances: the Breve (45 km), Classic (70 km) and Cento (115 km). Reigning Women’s Canadian Gravel Champion, Devon Clarke, was the first female rider to cross the line, defending her P2A victory from 2023. The 2023/24 Ontario Cycling (OC) Track season has officially concluded. Throughout the Ontario Cup Series and Youth Track Development Series, riders showcased outstanding dedication and skill. The infield was filled with conversation and camaraderie at each event, showing the great community we have at track.
