Simon Laengenfelder, who broke his collarbone in the Portuguese Grand Prix on Sunday, will try to ride in the next Grand Prix in Galicia this weekend. Laengenfelder has done the starting training and will try to limit the damage as much as possible this weekend. At the beginning of the week, Laengenfelder had surgery on his collarbone, but he is now back on the bike. Laengenfelder is second in the standings behind Kay de Wolf. The sixth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, which will take place in Lugo, Spain, this weekend, will pose a new challenge for the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP and MX2 teams as the riders will take on an all-new and completely unfamiliar track. The Grand Prix of Galicia is an exciting prospect for all four of Yamaha’s Factory riders, with the new track expected to somewhat level the playing field. With a gruelling Portuguese GP in the books, Team HRC head north to the city of Lugo, in the Galicia region of Spain with fresh impetus as they apply the championship-leading red-plate to Tim Gajser’s Honda CRF450R and make sure Ferruccio Zanchi’s Honda CRF250R is ready for action again after missing the last few rounds through injury.
