Kirby Lee-Imagn Images Gotta start somewhere We’ve talked about rankings all season, but all along, we knew there was only one ranking that really mattered, and they wouldn’t be released until tonight. The College Football Playoff committee released their first batch of rankings for the 2024 season on Tuesday night, and Texas A&M (7-2, 5-1) came in at No. 14. Jeff Blake-Imagn Images Texas A&M suffered their first SEC loss of the season on Saturday night falling, 44-20 to South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium. Unsurprisingly, this loss caused the Aggie to fall in the polls, dropping five spots in each and ending up at No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Jeff Blake-Imagn Images This one hurt Well, I imagine y’all are looking forward to reading this about as much as I am writing it, but here we are. We’ll get through this together. Here are the stats that tell the tale of Texas A&M’s brutal 44-20 loss to South Carolina. 0: A&M sacks. But they failed to bring Sellers to the ground in behind the line of scrimmage all night long. He’s a big, physical ..read more

Jeff Blake-Imagn Images A&M was out-played, out-coached, and out-disciplined Texas A&M was reminded on Saturday night how tough road games in the SEC can be. Give credit to South Carolina. This is a damn good and physical football team that was fired up to play in front of a raucous home crowd. What went wrong for A&M? One could just say “everything”, but I will try my best to add some specifics. Pass Protection Maybe this is just the freshest thing on my mind, but it felt like it ultimately killed any chance that A&M could get back in this game. In the second half, Marcel Reed ..read more
