Sweet Baby Snuggles Within two minutes of meeting me you will easily discover that I have two toddlers and I love being a mother. My oldest, 4, will start preschool in the fall and my youngest, almost 2, is my snuggle-bug. Since I work from home, I also spend my days working and designing with the kiddos by my side. I can’t help talking about my boys because they are a huge part of who I am now. I also have a love for itty bitty newborns I tend to get baby fever frequently. I would have 10 kids if I could! Now don’t get me wrong, kids can be a challenge and there are some days that are ju ..read more

I never thought something like this would affect our world the way it has, but here we are, quarantined in our homes and wondering when we will be allowed out again. At first I thought the threat would only affect April weddings which I fortunately do not have any April couples this year. Then the bans extended to 8 weeks, which might affect all of my May couples. (insert heartbreak here) I sent an email out to those affected couples, but I wanted to share with you all my words of reassurance and how I plan to navigate the uncharted waters that lie ahead. I am doing everything I can to hel ..read more

I am a very sentimental person, so I love reflecting and looking back at the year on January 1st. I usually start by thinking of all the fun things I’ve done and experienced with my two boys. We traveled, learned, had lots of firsts, and even more laughs. My husband started a new job, working from home a few days per week, and that changed the whole dynamic of my workday (in a good way!) And we celebrated many birthdays and holidays with family and friends ..read more

THIS BUFFALO CHECK + MUSTARD YELLOW STYLED SHOOT WILL MAKE YOU WANT A FALL WEDDING
Paper Hearts Invitations Blog

A couple years ago I had the amazing opportunity to get in front of Jessica Fike‘s camera to do a little modeling for a fall wedding shoot. The black and white buffalo check and mustard yellow accents paired beautifully with the green and white pumpkins and the overall organic feel for Jessica’s vision. We had some pretty awesome vendors participate because we wanted to showcase as many local talents as we could. After the shoot we all sat in the wood-fire warmed cabin and sipped on wine. Pretty fun day in my books! If you love what you see, here’s the team that put it all together… Photograph ..read more

Hey Alexa, order my wedding invitations If you’re anything like me and millions of other shoppers across the world, you love Amazon Prime. It’s hands down the best subscription I have and well worth the yearly fee to have those must have items at my doorstep in two days with free shipping! Who doesn’t love fast and free? And while I’m obsessed with this convenience, I do realize the amount of employees and logistics that go into getting that one small item across the country to my little house in West Virginia. Amazon is a HUGE company, my self-run small business is not. Turning around custom ..read more

I recently had the amazing opportunity to teach a flat lay styling class to a group of eight wedding professionals in Deep Creek, Maryland. The class was an equal mix of instruction and hands-on learning. We met at The Cornucopia Cafe, which also has amazing coffee, desserts, full dinner menu and even a craft beer on tap brewed specially for the restaurant. Flat lay definition: A flat lay is a picture taken from a birds eye view of a collection of items laid out on a flat surface. Usually there will be one item that is the main focus of the shot known as the hero, all the other items in the fl ..read more

The Grayson House is one of my favorite places to visit! This dusty blue styled shoot with some of my Uniontown vendor friends was nothing short of beautiful! We wanted to incorporate modern copper, clear acrylic signs and blue ombre hues to show how the gable roof barn could be decorated with this trending color palette. The white wood walls and the dark wood accents drowning in abundant natural light made elegant venue the perfect location for our vision of effortless boho beauty to come to life.
