I recently went on a walking food tour along the West End of Robson Street in Vancouver. That area has always been known as a foodie spot, with a wide variety of restaurants scattered across several blocks. On this tour, we checked out six restaurants, cafes and bubble tea shops on Robson Street, all within walking distance to each other. Here is the list and what I suggest you order, so save this post so you can go on this foodie tour on your own ..read more

Their Dine Out menu offers limited, but solid choices, and some of my favourite classic French dishes. So, I was actually quite excited to try their Dine Out menu and I had Papa Lam as my lunch date. Yes, the $49 Dine Out menu is available for both lunch and dinner here at Alouette ..read more

This year, I'm going to list events in a new post on a quarterly basis. Here is a select list of food & drink events happening around town until March 2025. They are most likely in Vancouver but I'll try to cover the Lower Mainland and beyond, as much as I can. Obviously, I can't know everything and can't cover everything, but I will continue to update this list until the next quarter comes ..read more

As soon as I was contacted by The Sequel Kitchen & Bar in Coal Habour, and found out that they are the sister restaurant to The Story Cafe in Richmond, I was delighted about their choice of the name. You know, the sequel to the story?! Clever! Truth be told, I've never been to The Story Cafe before but have heard good things about it. I figured The Sequel will have to live up to its sister's reputation, and we should have a wonderful meal there ..read more

I was invited to preview Cardero's Restaurant's Dine Out Vancouver menu and I couldn't believe how big the portion was! I liked the fact that a lot of these items are available in their a la carte menu, so you are really sampling their food at a discounted price. These days, we often chase after the new restaurants in town, and forget the OGs like Cardero's, so I'm glad that their Dine Out menu is something I can stand behind ..read more
