Wish me luck — I’m gonna need it!
With so many blanks following a micro-double, it’s going to be a tough week for all managers.

DGW-28 Results
It was a subpar week — Again
I gambled on a few double-gamers without the success I’d hoped for, including Solanke as captain. Solanke’s missed PK was a bad omen for the rest of the game week, even though he ended with 16 total. Only two of my other players earned over three points, which would have been disappointing even in a single-game week.
Again. Just not great.

Eight teams in action
Due to the FA Cup quarterfinals, there are only four Premier League fixtures this weekend. This week’s few but thrilling battles kick off with two relegation-defining 6-pointers: Burnley vs Brentford and Luton Town vs Nottingham Forest. Our only upper-half collision is Sunday’s 4th-place Aston Villa visiting 7th-place West Ham. In between is a London derby — high-flying Spurs crossing town to visit bottom-half Fulham.

Check out a few under-subscribed players who can move you in the rankings!
With only four matches taking place among the many blanks in GW-29, many FPL managers are struggling just to get a full playing XI.
This could be a good time to activate the free-hit chip if you still have it — Every hole filled in your starting lineup is a chance to steal a march on your rivals. Caveat: Using the free hit in a big DGW could be a chance to double as many as eleven extra (and expensive!) players, so YMMV.
This week’s limited choices will also te ..read more

Man City repeated the 3-1 victory over Copenhagen to go through to the quarterfinals on a 6-2 aggregate win. PSG added two goals to the first leg 2-0 victory to ease past Real Sociedad. The eliminated Spanish team must settle for the consolation goal in the return leg and focus on domestic football to qualify to next year’s UCL.

Liverpool hosts Man City in the week’s blockbuster table-top collision
Liverpool vs Man City headlines the GW-28 docket. With just a point between them in first and second, the outcome might prove to be the difference at the end of the season. Third place Arsenal, just two points behind Liverpool, welcomes Brentford knowing that a win could overhaul both leaders if they draw that other fixture.

AFC Bournemouth has a double game-week | Photo by Visionhaus/Getty Images
The marquee match of the week might be Liverpool vs. Man City, but fantasy managers have their sights set on Bournemouth and Luton Town with their double game-week ahead!
Bournemouth and Luton Town have a micro DGW in GW-28. With six matches (but not Luton’s) to be postponed in GW-29, I chose to let go players with relatively lower entry prices now as I will somehow have to pick all my players again next game week.
However, for official FPL, which docks points for extra transfers, I made only minor changes and am leaving ..read more

Two doubles and a huge game at the top
It’s GW-28, meaning only ten more weeks to follow.
Liverpool vs Man City is the game of the week, if not the year. A win for either obviously propels the winner to the top, whereas a tie is the result the Gunners look for.
Luton plays twice, and in theory could move out of the bottom three. These are massive games for the small club. And as a bonus, the Hatters don’t blank next week.
Bournemouth also has a double week — They have players who’ve been scoring points, and bo ..read more

A micro-double!
We’re in the midst of another week of European Fixtures as teams battle in the knockout stage. In UCL, Man City has progressed. In Europa League, West Ham was undone by VAR but Liverpool tasted victory from a Nunez brace. Then Villa stalemated nil-nil in the Europa Conference.
As we move past that, we start to look at the best picks this weekend, with a one-match double between Bournemouth and Luton adding some spice. However, a nasty blank week is to follow, so beware unless you have the chip ..read more

Gain a mini-DGW advantage over your mini-league rivals
Are you seeking FPL GW-28 differentials to improve your mini-league rankings? Here we look at five:
Alfie Doughty (4.7m, CRY vs LUT, BOU vs LUT)
Ownership: 10.1%
Doughty, a £4.7m defender, is owned by only 10.1% of FPL. Luton's not known for clean sheets, but Doughty has been a boss with a goal plus eight assists.
