Question - is tehoka Nanticoke the last D1 player to wear a cpxr in game? ( because of something to do with his head not fitting in the S or the R at the time I forget). But as a connesiur of all things cpxr ( I wore mine at mcdonogh until my senior year in 2019 pictures are above) ’m just wondering if anyone knows. submitted by /u/Adventurous-Style752 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hey everyone, I am a newer coach at a developing highschool program in Connecticut, and we are now at the point to split to jv and varsity teams next season and I am now the assistant head coach and looking to take over in the near future. I want to take my understanding to the next level. I played sense I was a young child through college (bad club team). I am confident I can coach this team to be good, but maybe not great. But I am pretty young and want to make this my full time career when I can. I am wondering what your go to resources were to take it to the next level. I understand that ..read more

Atlanta Men's Pickup Lacrosse near Midtown?

I'm trying to organize a weekly men’s pickup game near Midtown Atlanta (or anywhere ITP). I know the “Weekend Pickup Lax Atlanta” Facebook group plays Wednesday nights in Milton, but that’s about an hour and a half drive for me (not ideal). Anyone know of any good fields ITP that would be good to look into/try to reserve for a weekly game? submitted by /u/chrisham22 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I'm curious about something: are there any lacrosse heads out there that come with built-in technologies that can help to improve the performance in the field? Like for speed and accuracy? something like that. submitted by /u/Agreeable-Local-5826 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Son woke up feeling awful so decided not to drive out to the island. Tickets are both adult (12+) and just a QR code in an email that I can forward. Paid $60 with fees. Would like to get some of it back or send a kid who wouldn't otherwise be able to go. submitted by /u/cliff_huck [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

LSM at faceoff tips

My kid runs LSM and takes faceoffs when the faceoff guy is likely to get beat. He’s doing a great job with FO but is running into two main challenges and I appreciate advice I can share with him. First, because of his size and ability he’s often able to really disrupt the opposing FOGO. Once they realize this, they resort to holding his stick every time. He’s speaking up to refs early now but it’s a common tactic that’s often not addressed. How can I coach him to beat this approach when it happens? Letting go fully isn’t it because then the guy drops my kid’s stick so he’s at a disadvantage ..read more

Defense advice

My 10 year old daughter plays defense in her rec league. She has played attack some but thrives on defense and would like to become a better defender. Her practices seem to really focus on offense more. Do y’all have any suggestions on what to do (drills, footwork, etc) defensively for when we practice at home? Maybe YouTube suggestions even. Thanks! submitted by /u/Healthy_Sock_9880 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How can I coach my team to score more?

I am a hs boys varsity coach and it pains to see my team getting shut-out (0 goals scored) three games in a row, and only having only 2 players who are capable of hitting the cage consistently. The competition is solid, but opposing teams routinely can't scoop gbs and drop mid range passes. Do I start from square one mid season and teach players elementary throwing techniques (one-arm, two-arm, and knee-down passing) to help with this? Do I focus on dodges/cutting first (we lack this)? We do plenty of step down shots, cutting, and give-and-go drills at practices, and 6v6's. I have been stress ..read more
