Yes, it's 5:00 a.m.  What am I doing up so early you ask? It's one of those 'sleepless' nights where you toss and turn a bit, pray a lot, seek help and guidance and mercy from the Lord. It's been a long while since I've posted anything. Since marrying Mike my life has taken many turns in the road. Time in the past that was spent with the desire to share the gospel online and my testimony of the great love of the Lord for all of His children, has turned into other things. I have often wondered about my purpose, my role, my 'what' and 'why' and 'how'.  I think that is needful and purpo ..read more

God is Trusting us all....

From a young age I have loved hearing and heeding Prophets of God. It has always been a priority in my life and helped me when I needed guidance the most. Throughout my life I have always known that we have Prophets to lead and guide us, help us find the way by teaching us of Christ and His ways. Their witnesses have been the greatest blessings in my life. Pres. Nelson, our current Prophet recently gave us the following message. My desire is to heed in in it's fullness, and I share it fully, in hopes that many of you will too. I KNOW that we will blessed as we do so.  "When I spoke duri ..read more

Put aside the things of this world......

We're just headed out of town for a few days but I thought I'd get this posted sooner than later. These are a few of the personal notes I took from our recent worldwide General Conference. I've been pondering on these things which help in my personal growth and 'overcoming'. I find that when I focus on these things; the things that matter most, all other things fall in to place. I'm deeply grateful for spiritual guidance and treasures from above. I know we have a loving God, who is our Father. He sent us here to learn and grow and decide, for ourselves, if we'll follow Him. We walk by faith b ..read more

Tree Trimming, Making Wooden Bowls

In the midst of the Peace of the Christmas Season, we've still been busy with life. Some things just need to get done and we've had to prioritize so as to not become overwhelmed and still be able to focus on what matters most. We've had a tree in our front yard that is big and beautiful in the Spring but very messy and difficult in the fall. We've also got a steep driveway that we need to add stairs to so as to not fall when it's icy. (yes, that happened last year.) We concurred that we'd have to remove the tree to make way for a walkway and widening of the drive. So, that's what we've been d ..read more

Christmas: Finding Peace
Mormon Moms

As a mother, I've often wanted to give my children more temporally than I've been able to. Each Christmas I'd feel sad, especially as a single-parent for so many years, that I couldn't give them what they wanted or needed, or what I would have liked to give them. There were sometimes tears, mostly on my side. Now, as a married woman, with 5 additional children and 14 grandchildren, I still feel the same. We're on a limited budget of time and resources. For this reason I have been grateful for the teachings of my own mother who gave me the most important gift; the gift of a testimony of the g ..read more

I haven't blogged in quite some time. I'm not as regular as I used to be. I'm not even sure why I'm writing today except that I was sitting here at my computer and felt it would be a good time to 'catch-up' with you a bit. I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore, though I do know that I still am getting thousands of views a month on this site. The challenge I've been facing is how to proceed and what I want this site to be.  For a long time I've felt to share about the things that matter most in life; the things that are of eternal significance. What are the things that matter m ..read more

The Noble Roles of Women
Mormon Moms
by Heidi Hendricks

This site will be taking a new direction. I feel to share things I've learned through study and ponder about the noble roles of women on this earth. We come to earth for a reason and for a season. The reasons are 1. to get a mortal body, 2. to be tried and tested and 'proven', 3. to see if we will do all things that the Lord has commanded us. The adversary tries to do the opposite to us. That is why he is called 'the adversary'. The plan is real. It was founded in heaven eons of time before we came here, by a loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than for us to return to His pres ..read more

Father's Day 2019 - A Man's Greatest Roles
Mormon Moms

There is no greater role for a man than that of husband and father. Today I honor you all by sharing this powerful message of truth about that sacred and vital calling: At Provo, Utah Temple, U.S.A., with 86-yr old Father Fathers By Elder D. Todd Christofferson Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, April 2016 I focus today on the good that men can do in the highest of masculine roles—husband and father. I speak today of fathers. Fathers are fundamental in the divine plan of happiness, and I want to raise a voice of encouragement for those who are striving to fill well that c ..read more

New Year's Resolutions or Goals
Mormon Moms

It's often a daily resolve to try to do better. I'm not going to talk about goals on here except to say that I know they are VERY important; and that specific and measurable goals bring specific and measurable results. Rather, I'm going to talk about the importance of trying to gain salvation and the inherit blessings with that. My husband and I have been serving as full-time Senior Missionaries for the past 16 months in the Florida, Tallahassee area. We're living in a place called Fort Walton Beach, working with the hispanic community. We love them, care about them and want eternal ..read more
