Hey everyone, I’m going to do a day trip from Paris to Reims or Epernay (still deciding). We will be a group of four. I am debating whether to do a private tour or to just take the train and wander. I am fully fluent in French so can get around well but want to keep it easy for us. Is it worth getting a private tour or is it easy enough to arrive, and walk around from champagne house to champagne house (making reservations in advance). I wanted to post about this since I haven't seen any posts about Collery. This champagne is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Nior, with a 2 g/L dosage. For a low dosage it's surprisingly smooth, it could be some bottle aging with a disgorgement date of 9/2021. Golden in color, scents of brioche. Tasting notes of Lemongrass and slightly reduced caramel apple. The finish is incredibly smooth, with not much acidity.
