So my parent bought a bottle of Perrier-jout grand brut when I was born in 02 I will be opening it tomorrow. Should I drink it or nah.

Hey everyone, I’m going to do a day trip from Paris to Reims or Epernay (still deciding). We will be a group of four. I am debating whether to do a private tour or to just take the train and wander. I am fully fluent in French so can get around well but want to keep it easy for us. Is it worth getting a private tour or is it easy enough to arrive, and walk around from champagne house to champagne house (making reservations in advance). Thank you for your advice.

I wanted to post about this since I haven't seen any posts about Collery. This champagne is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Nior, with a 2 g/L dosage. For a low dosage it's surprisingly smooth, it could be some bottle aging with a disgorgement date of 9/2021. Golden in color, scents of brioche. Tasting notes of Lemongrass and slightly reduced caramel apple. The finish is incredibly smooth, with not much acidity. A store near me has a few other of their wines, and now I'm very interested in trying more.

I was opening a bottle of G.H.MUMM and I was untwisting the cap wire with my thumb over the cap and it unexpectedly popped, without any pressure on the cork. I’ve never experienced this when opening a bottle of bubbly, is there any reason why it happened? Storage perhaps?

I want to buy each of our wedding guests champagne to pop during our ceremony but buying a 750ml for each guest can be pricey. Does the 185ml or 375ml have the popping sensation as the 750ml?
