Hi everyone, I’m a long time Tokyo resident, and visited a lot of galleries here, but have only just started exhibiting my work this year.
So far I’ve held exhibition at Atari cafe in Koenji, and “meeee” gallery in Nakano. Both were quite reasonable (in terms of rental costs) and the owners were both very kind and helpful.
Are there any places you’ve exhibited and would recommend? How was the experience? At this point my funds are low so an exhibit in Ginza is out of the questions, but are there any good / reasonable spots out here?
Super thanks in advance everyone!

Hello, do you guys know, where I can buy whole chickens (with offals) in Tokyo? Normal supermarkets don’t seem to offer whole chickens in general and most of the butchers I‘ve been to take the offals out and only sell specific stuff extra.

Hello, I‘ve been wanting to eat a good Schnitzel for a while now, but the german places in Tokyo all don’t look that good. I‘ve looked at Schmatz, Zum Einhorn, Eichenplatz, Kaiserhof and basically all other places I could find on google and the Schnitzel didn’t look properly done. (If you know a good place, I‘d be glad if you told me:)
Alternatively, if you don’t know any places, do any of you know where I could find the right cut of veal and breadcrumbs to make it myself.

You have 3500 yen. No night buses. What neat places can you find that's the farthest away from Tokyo paying a max of 3500 in train fair from either Tokyo Station, Ikebukuro Station, or Shinjuku station?

Hey, I’ve been to Japan now 2 times and it shocks me every time how many luxurious cars I see. I come from a very wealthy area in Germany and see luxurious cars every day… but in Tokyo or Kyoto I see them en masse. A G Class seems like a normal Toyota and I can’t even count the amount of the newest version S classes I saw in just 5 days. What do these people do for work or how can they afford it

Hi people, I wanted to check in with those that have applied for PR in Japan. I note in some of the other posts, people mentioned that the '1 Year Length of Stay' counts from the tax declaration form that you submit. I got transferred to Japan office only Sept last year but I have been staying in Japan since Jan 2023. Wanted to find out if I can start applying for the PR as I checked I have met the 80 points mark.

Im a freelance model ) and I need to build a stronger portfolio! Was thinking to collab/hire a street or studio photographer in the Tokyo - Saitama Area. So, if you know a good photo studio company where they take modeling portfolio pics would be a great advice!
